Remember such a familiar and familiar smell of homemade cookies that my mother baked on holidays or weekends ... And the unique taste of home-made “toffee”, cooked independently from a can that was sneaked secretly from the pantry, with condensed milk. In order to return to childhood for a short while and again feel like a little sweet tooth, try to prepare a delicious, effective and not requiring special culinary talents treat - cookies with boiled condensed milk. The recipe for nuts with this filling is suitable both for baking using an electric waffle iron and for cooking on a gas stove in a special form that has remained from the old days.
Cookie dough
If you decide to make cookies with boiled condensed milk, first prepare shortbread dough. For him you will need:
- medium-sized eggs - 2 pcs.;
- half a glass of sugar;
- flour - 2-2.5 cups;
- 200 g of butter (it is allowed to replace it with the same amount of margarine, but the taste of the finished cookies deteriorates from this);
- half a teaspoon of baking soda previously quenched in vinegar.
Mix the butter melted in a water bath with sugar and soda, slaked in vinegar. The composition should foam for a short time. In a separate bowl, mix the eggs (just mix, not beat), add a mixture of butter and sugar and pour the resulting mass into a larger bowl.
Now add the flour there in small portions, each time thoroughly mixing the composition. Do not try to pour all the flour set according to the norm: it should be so much that the resulting dough is not too tight, at the same time, balls can easily be formed from it - blanks for future nuts.
Baking in the mold
If the farm does not have a special electric waffle iron, use the usual device, familiar from childhood, to prepare cookies “nuts” in the form of gas. When acquiring dexterity, the result will be no worse. Place the mold on the included stove and warm it slightly, grease with oil. There should not be much grease for lubrication, since the excess will leak out during baking and start to burn.
Form small balls of dough with a diameter of 1.5-2 cm and place each in the recess of the form. It will be possible to more accurately determine the size and make adjustments after the manufacture of the first batch of cookies.
The blank for the product “Cookies with boiled condensed milk” resembles a half of a walnut shell. They must be baked in a mold on a small fire in the following order: first from the side where the recesses are located (2 minutes), and then from the opposite side (1 minute). After this time, open the form cover and look at the color of the product. If it has acquired a golden brown tint - remove from heat.

For this, the jar is placed in a pot of water, brought to a boil and boiled for three hours, periodically adding water so that the tin is always under its surface.
The prepared “toffee” is cooled, mixed with whipped butter (100 g), finely chopped fried walnuts (three quarters of a glass) and pieces of the finished cookie crushed into crumbs.
