Today we will dispel the myth that there is nothing tastier than fatty fried cutlets with a crispy crust. In fact, only cutlets cooked in a double boiler can be tastier. I was puzzled by the search for interesting cooking options for a couple when my mother-in-law handed me a double boiler for my next birthday. And then I found a suitable recipe. Steamed cutlets have become the very long-awaited find. For a long time the steam boiler stood idle, somehow I could not believe that something edible could happen in it. But then she decided to try, and was pleasantly surprised. In addition to the original taste, this dish also has excellent useful qualities. The lack of oil makes cutlets tender, soft and completely harmless.
I offer several options for how to cook cutlets for a couple. I have no doubt that their recipe will be written in your cookbook for a long time.
Minced meat cutlets
We need such products:
- minced pork and beef (you can take chicken, if desired) - 350 grams;
- medium onion head;
- 2 large spoons of flour;
- spices and salt to taste.
I must say that traditionally black ground pepper is added to the mincemeat for cutlets , but experiments are only welcome. You can add a mixture of peppers or a special seasoning for minced meat.
Steamed cutlets in a double boiler are prepared quite simply.
First, finely chop the onion, or pass it through the combine. Add to the minced meat, mix everything carefully and sprinkle with spices and salt. Pour the flour and mix again. After that, we begin to sculpt our cutlets. It’s better to wet your hands a little before - this way the products will form better and not stick to your hands. It remains only to lay them out in a double boiler and wait 35-40 minutes.
Cooked steamed cutlets in a double boiler are great for baby or diet food, but then pepper should not be added. Any unpretentious garnish will suit them - rice, mashed potatoes. And if you sprinkle a green beam on top - it will be just an unforgettable treat.
Surprisingly delicious steamed cutlets are obtained in a "Surprise" turkey double boiler
We will need:
- turkey fillet - 800 grams;
- 2-3 slices of a white loaf (without crust, only pulp);
- 2 eggs;
- 2 onion heads, and one large one;
- 3-4 cloves of garlic;
- hard cheese - 160 g;
- 1 can of canned champignons;
- turmeric - 1 tsp;
- pepper and salt;
- foil is also useful.
To start, let's get down to the meat preparation. The turkey is coated with spices and salt. Then take 1 head of onion and chop finely (this is important). Pour half a glass of milk (preferably warm) into pieces of bread and knead with a fork until a homogeneous mass is obtained. We spread all the ingredients in a large bowl, sprinkle with crushed garlic and the remaining onions. We break the eggs and shake the minced meat, it is more convenient to do this with a fork or two spoons - so the lumps are better aligned.
After you have obtained a uniform mass, we form neat round circles from it. In the center of each we put a few fungi and a small slice of cheese. We turn it so that the filling does not look out, but is deep inside. We run each cutlet breaded and put in a double boiler. We wait 20-25 minutes, and eat everything with great pleasure.
Steamed cutlets in a double boiler according to this recipe will cause such a delight at home that you have to cook cutlets "with surprise" every day. And the neighbors, smelling, will ask to visit for dinner.
A few more tricks for those who also do not want to go too far with salt. It must be remembered - the more pepper in the minced meat, the more salty cutlets seem to taste. Consider this fact, because it is better to add salt to finished products than to chew salted ones through force.
Thanks to these simple recipes, you diversify the everyday menu and discover new opportunities. After all, now you do not have to count calories before you put food cooked in a double boiler on your plate.
