Potatoes are boiled, cooled, peeled and cut into small cubes. Exactly the same cubes should be formed from cucumbers and herring fillets.
Inside the cooled "Borodino" tartlets spread the beetroot mousse. You can use a pastry bag or a regular plastic bag with one edge cut off. Cubes of potatoes, cucumbers, fish fillet are laid out on a pillow of beets. On top of tartlets with herring sprinkled with fragrant green onions.
Appetizer with herring, egg and cheese
A very quick version of the appetizer is tartlets with herring and egg, decorated with fresh bright herbs.
