Lightly salted salmon: recipe

For any holiday or simply significant event, we make lists of the products we need to set the table. And, interestingly, almost everyone on it has slightly salted salmon, the recipe of which is passed on from generation to generation.

Why cook yourself? Why not buy cooked fish? The answer is simple: very often, manufacturers use a huge amount of synthetic additives and dyes to prepare salmon. So the fish is stored for a long time, and looks just wonderful and appetizing. Did you know that such additives also increase the weight of salmon? Undoubtedly, profitable for the seller, but for the buyer it is completely unprofitable.

While the salted salmon is being cooked, the piece loses a considerable amount of weight: 30-40%, so manufacturers add special impurities to it that have the ability to retain moisture. But they don’t think that such impurities are very harmful to health.

Do not you think that it is better to buy a chilled salmon fillet yourself and salt it yourself? Give it a try. After all, slightly salted salmon, the recipe of which is absolutely uncomplicated, is a very tasty dish.

It is no secret to anyone that salmon is one of the most delicious and healthy fish. Moreover, most like it is slightly salted salmon, the recipe of which is simple and does not require much effort. Specialists who have already salted a considerable amount of fish are advised to buy a whole carcass of salmon. It is much juicier and tastier than a simple fillet. As it turned out, the size of the fish also has an effect on the taste of the future dish: the larger the salmon, the tastier it will be after cooking. It is best to choose a whole fish, without any damage, beautiful in appearance.

Absolutely any portion of salmon can be used for salting. If the fish has been frozen, be sure to defrost it. Then rinse and flatten along the ridge along. Thus, you will get two equal parts, from which it will be quite simple to remove the ridge and bones. Now you have the salmon filet, which is no worse than what you could buy in the store.

Two simple recipes

Try to salt the salmon with one very simple recipe that can be made just a few hours before the guests arrive.

You will need:

- a kilogram of fresh salmon;

- a tablespoon of salt;

- a teaspoon of sugar;

- juice of one lemon.

All ingredients are for 6 servings.

Cooking:

Step One: Cut the fish. Remove all skin and bones. Arm yourself with a sharp knife and cut the salmon across into thin slices.

Step Two: Mix sugar and salt in a bowl. Mix everything well.

Step Three: Put the pieces of salmon in a mold in one layer. Now sprinkle it with sugar and salt. Next lay another layer of fish, also sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and salt.

Step Four: Sprinkle each layer, stacking the pieces as densely as possible. When you put the last layer, pour the fish with lemon juice.

Step Five: Put the fish form in a cold place for a couple of hours.

Now salted salmon, the recipe of which will be more complicated and require more time.

Cooking:

Step one: mix honey and sugar well.

Step Two: Mix sugar and salt in a bowl.

Step Three: Dip the fish on one side, then pour the remaining salt mixture on a clean cloth and lay the fish with the salted side up on it.

Fourth step: in this fabric you need to tightly swaddle the fish, put it in a bowl and put it in the refrigerator for several days. Salmon will be cooked in at least two days. But know, the longer the fish lies in the refrigerator, the tastier it will turn out.

Step Five: Turn the fish over twice a day.

In addition to sugar and honey, you can add coriander, black pepper or basil. The result is salted salmon. The recipe, as you can see, is not too complicated, and such a fish is perfect as a separate dish, and as an addition to any food.
