Not so long ago, in August 2017, viewers were able to watch a new, very exciting series about love, betrayal, hope and finding oneself. The story was, in general, not new, and the 40-episode film was the Ukrainian version of the Korean drama Shoe for Cinderella. Where was filming the series “Threads of Fate”, who starred in it and what is the story about? We’ll try to figure it out slowly.
Story line. The beginning of the story
On August 14, the channel “Russia 1” began showing one of the most interesting series in recent years. The main characters in it are two sisters, Katya and Sasha. But as adults, they are not even aware of their kinship. Their mother died a long time ago (at the beginning of the story) and their only native person is their loving dad. It is he who is engaged in their education, not receiving any help. And the person who could help - father's father, the grandfather of the girls, is not particularly interested in their life.
Many years ago, when Dmitry (dad) was about to marry an ordinary girl (and he is from a rather wealthy family), his father (Yevgeny Poltavsky) fundamentally disagreed with his son's choice and refused any support. Being in love and proud, Dmitry left the family, married his girlfriend. Their life was very happy, but after the birth of the second daughter, the young mother died.
So dad was left in the life of the sisters alone.

They live very modestly, but in unison, in love and respect. For constant work and various family affairs Dmitry (actor Kirill Zhandarov) did not pay attention to some health problems. When he finally chose the time to visit the doctor, it turned out that it was too late: he had leukemia. After his death, the girls remained orphaned.
Neighbors, wanting to help children, call guardianship service. But the girls, without waiting for them to be taken to the orphanage, run away. It just so happened that they accidentally missed each other. This unforeseen accident predetermined the next decade of their life.
The elder sister - Katya (she was played by Evgenia Rozanova) was lucky to find their grandfather - Evgeny Poltavsky (actor Valery Afanasyev). He over the years and after the death of his only son became much softer. Therefore, he raised his granddaughter in love. Since he was quite wealthy - he headed his own empire "Global", the girl was not denied anything. And yet, Katya could not forgive her grandfather for refusing to help his son dying of leukemia.
Olya or Sasha?
But the little sister Ole (she was played by Mila Sivatskaya) was not so lucky. The girl gets under the car and gets very stressed. The result of this is a complete memory loss.
The driver who drove into her was afraid that he would have to answer for this crime under the law. He takes Olya to his home, passing her later on to his neighbors as a distant relative. His wife and daughter meet the frightened girl rather wary and without much sympathy. Ole comes up with a new name, calling her Sasha - by name on the engagement ring that hangs on her neck. There, the mother’s name of Alexandrina was engraved (when dad died, Katya divided the parental rings, taking his dad with his name, and giving Mom’s mom, so the sisters wanted to preserve at least some kind of memory of their parents).
The girls met ten years later, becoming involuntary rivals for the love of one young man - Vadim.
Opening the veil of secrecy
Where is the series “Threads of Fate” filmed? This is the question that arose among viewers who watched the intricacies of the plot. Firstly, it must be noted that all forty episodes of the picture were shot in just ten weeks. This is a kind of record. After all, it was necessary to have time to do everything in this short time: to fit in these ten weeks the events that had been going on for ten years.
In Kiev - here in which city they filmed the series “Threads of Fate”. And this is no coincidence either. The architecture of this city, beautiful buildings, neat streets, various sights helped to make each frame beautiful and capacious.
Almost round-the-clock work
Where did you shoot the series "Threads of Fate"? This time, where did the shooting take place? Those episodes when it was supposed to work in the houses and apartments of the main characters were filmed in the pavilions of the FILM.UA film studio. This is often done when it is necessary to show a room, a hospital room or something else.
It should be noted that the offices of the global mobile communications company, as well as the houses and apartments of the heroes of this series, are specially built interiors. The project was carried out by three directors - Eva Strelnikova, Alexander Timenko and Maria Tkacheva. Two film crews helped them.
The workflow was very long: it all started in the early morning and ended late at night. The actors had a hard time, but everything was compensated by the warm and friendly atmosphere on the site. After all, some of them were familiar even before the start of this project, so the fateful strings only strengthened the creative tandems.

Moreover, the work lasted until October. And already on November 21 at "Inter" the premiere of a new history took place. In order to adapt the script to the realities of our lives, a lot of work had to be done. Dialogues and scenes were rewritten, the emphasis shifted from martial arts. But the authors have preserved both the life story, which drags the heroes into a whirlpool and reveals their complex characters, and a strong story that involuntarily makes it possible to think about their actions.
The city of Krasnokholmsk, where they filmed the series "Threads of Fate", was also invented in Kiev. It was not difficult, because there were not so many natural schemes. And the house where Dmitry lived with his daughters, the doctor’s office, where he found out about the terrible diagnosis, was built in pavilions.
This is how the series “Threads of Fate” turned out. The location of the shooting for him was chosen successful and quite suitable in order to provide the necessary final result. Which, in fact, was appreciated by the audience immediately after the premiere.
