The preparation "Butox" is described in the kit as an insect-acaricidal agent made on the basis of a synthetic pyrethroid. This medicine is used in the field of veterinary medicine to combat various ectoparasites. This drug has a fairly large spectrum of activity and is active against pathogenic microorganisms such as nightmares, scabies, ixodidae and chicken mites, bedbugs, flies, gnats, fleas, lice and hairworms. At the same time, the use of the Butox insect-acaricidal agent (the instructions for it confirms it) in the concentrations and doses recommended by the manufacturer does not have any allergenic or local irritant effect. This antiparasitic drug is toxic to fish and bees and moderately toxic to warm-blooded animals.

The Butox insect-acaricidal agent is issued (instructions are included in each package) in the form of an oily liquid of a light yellow hue, which has a specific odor and is well emulsified in water. As the main component in the composition of this drug is deltamethrin. This 5% concentrate is packaged, as a rule, either in plastic bottles of one or five liters, or in metal canisters of twenty-five liters. In this case, the use of the antiparasitic drug "Butoks" is recommended in the form of an emulsion diluted with water by bathing or spraying.

A working emulsion of this insect-acaricidal agent must be prepared immediately before application. For therapeutic purposes, animals are sprayed with the resulting composition twice with an interval of seven to ten days. As a prophylaxis, the drug "Butox" in ampoules, the instruction advises to use once. In the tick parasitization season, the manufacturer recommends using this insect-acaricidal emulsion only once a week. At the same time, this procedure should be carried out at the end of a day's rest of animals or before pasture on agricultural land.

Separately, it is necessary to say about precautions when working with the antiparasitic drug "Butox". The instruction, for example, focuses on the inadmissibility of an insect-acaricidal emulsion in the nose, eyes or mouth of an animal. Also, do not use any shampoos for three days before and after treatment. In addition, only freshly prepared solution is allowed. And finally, after completing all the necessary procedures using the Butox insect-acaricidal preparation, you should thoroughly wash your hands with a cleanser.

As for the main contraindications to the use of this antiparasitic concentrate, here in the first place it is necessary to highlight the increased sensitivity of the animal to deltamethrin. Also, this insect-acaricidal drug is not used in case of weakened immunity. In addition, Butox is not recommended for use on sick animals.
