We cook fish cakes according to different recipes

Due to its high content of protein, healthy unsaturated fats, as well as essential minerals and vitamins, fish is a very valuable product that must be included in the diet. Fish can be fried in a pan, cooked in a double boiler, baked in the oven. We will tell you how to make fish cakes.

Such a tasty and healthy dish as fish cakes can be prepared in different ways. Consider first a traditional recipe. A pound of fish (it is better to choose a fish that has few bones, such as cod) will require one hundred grams of a white loaf without a crust, one or two onions (depending on size), half a glass of milk to soak the bread, an egg. It will also take about fifty grams of lard, however, when using fatty fish, this component can be eliminated. You will also need flour or breadcrumbs to roll the patties and frying oil.

We start cooking fish cakes. We cut the fish, separating the fillet. A piece of the loaf is soaked in milk. Then grind the fish fillet, pressed bread and onions in a blender or meat grinder. Add pork lard there. Knead the resulting stuffing, drive an egg into it, salt and season to taste. We cut the finished cutlet mass into portions, sculpt the cutlets and roll them in flour or breadcrumbs. Fry the patties in a pan, turning from side to side. Then we put the fried cutlets in a thick-bottomed dish (you can sprinkle them with fried onions), add a little water to the bottom and simmer our fish cakes for ten minutes over low heat.

If you want to cook lean meatballs, you should exclude from the list of ingredients an egg, lard and milk. You can, for example, use this recipe. For half a kilogram of finished fish fillet, you need to take about 200 grams of white bread or a loaf, a clove of garlic, a bunch of fresh herbs. For breading, use crackers or flour, and for frying our lean cutlets - vegetable oil.

Prepare the minced meat from the fillet. Moreover, to obtain tasty and juicy cutlets, it is advisable to use two types of fish - fatty and nonfatty, which can be taken in equal quantities for the preparation of minced meat. In minced fish, add soaked in water and well-wrung bread, finely chopped greens and chopped garlic.

Wet hands we chop well-mixed minced meat into cutlets, roll them in breading and fry them in a pan. Then bring them to readiness in the oven or under the lid.

And you can cook stuffed fish cakes. To do this, make minced meat, as described above, and prepare the filling. It can be fried mushrooms with onions, chopped egg with herbs or something else to your taste. We form round flat cakes from the minced meat, put the filling on one half, close the second half with flat cakes, forming a patty with the filling inside. Then cutlets are breaded in breadcrumbs (you can pre- dip them in a beaten egg) and fry them in a pan or bake in an oven.

Fans of a healthy diet can cook steamed fish cutlets using modern appliances - a double boiler or a slow cooker. However, you can also steam the cutlets in an ordinary colander, if you fix it over a pot and boiling water and cover this “structure” with a lid on top.

For such useful meatballs, we need half a kilogram of fish fillet, two raw potatoes, an onion, an egg and a bunch of greens. We clean and grind vegetables and fish into minced meat using a blender or meat grinder. Then we drive an egg into the fish mass, add chopped greens, seasonings and salt. We cut the well-mixed mass into cutlets and cook them in a double boiler. Cooking time is twenty minutes.

Serve any fish patties best with potatoes or vegetable salad.
