Arbidol - instructions for use

Structure

Active substance:

  • methylphenylthiomethyl-dimethylaminomethyl-hydroxybromindole carboxylic acid ethyl ester - 50/100 mg (in 1 capsule of preparation No. 3 and No. 1, respectively).

  • colloidal silicon dioxide ;
  • potato starch;
  • crospovidone;
  • calcium stearate.

Pharmacological action of the drug arbidol

The instruction says that arbidol belongs to antiviral drugs, as well as to the group of immunomodulators. The drug has an antiviral effect, including antiviral effects manifested against influenza A and B, and against SARS.

The mechanism of action of the drug is as follows - by inhibiting the connection of the lipid membrane together with the cell membrane, the drug prevents the penetration of the virus into the cells.
