As a rule, health begins to be appreciated only when the disease has come. Therefore, few people listen to the recommendations of doctors and take seriously such a concept as risk factors that affect not only the general condition of our body, but also life expectancy.
If we talk about all these factors as a whole, then doctors divide them into four main groups: genetic predisposition, environmental impact, level and quality of medical care, and the actual lifestyle of each person.
Do not, of course, neglect subjective moments, which include age, gender, and individual characteristics of the body. Therefore, knowing about what health risk factors exist and trying to minimize them, each of us can extend our life with our own hands and protect against the appearance of many unpleasant diseases.
We all have our own genetic program, which, quite possibly, has a predisposition to certain diseases. Naturally, one won’t be able to get rid of one’s own genes, but it’s possible to take precautionary measures. Therefore, first of all, it is necessary to protect yourself from those harmful influences that can only aggravate a hereditary predisposition and cause the development of diseases donated by the ancestors.
And such harmful effects can be risk factors of the second group - the influence of the external environment, which today can not boast of either good environmental indicators or the availability of high-quality natural food products.
Many of us, ill, rely on the support of medicine. And this is understandable, because in many cases it is almost impossible to do without professional medical assistance. However, it does not always turn out to be at the proper level, especially with regard to the quality of drugs, the speed of the ambulance and the implementation of various preventive measures. And, despite the fact that medicine is struggling with the manifestation of various diseases, this struggle is usually aimed at eliminating the consequences. For this reason, poor-quality, untimely medical care, and sometimes even its complete absence, are unconditional risk factors that have a very significant impact on human health.
And if with all of the above reasons that contribute to an increase in the number of diseases, we are sometimes not able to fight, then maintaining a healthy lifestyle is within the power of everyone. But today it is precisely the conditions and lifestyle that are the main risk factors for human health, which very significantly affect the state of our body. When talking about the wrong way of life, the person usually means the presence of various bad habits. Of course, adherence to alcohol and nicotine does not add health, however, everyday, professional, social activities of each of us are of no small importance. Constant exposure to stress, disgusting working conditions, chronic lack of sleep, overeating, poor material and living conditions of life, inadequate behavior in society, adverse conditions in the family are also very significant risk factors that have a huge impact on our health and can provoke the appearance of many various physical and mental ailments.
Health is a great happiness, and therefore it must be protected, constantly taking care of itself and trying to avoid all those factors that can cause irreparable damage to the human body. Only our own vigilance can become the main weapon against the diseases that await us at every turn.
