Scar treatment

Scars can form on a particular area of โ€‹โ€‹the body due to various reasons. So, often skin defects remain after acne (acne). Such scars are usually present on the face, back. Skin defects can also form as a result of cuts. In addition to scars, spots can also form on the skin. However, eliminating the latter is not so difficult. Treatment of scars, after burns, especially, can present certain difficulties for a specialist. Serious defects appear at the site of acne. So, for example, atrophic scars do not completely fill the entire cavity. As a result, indentations are formed. Of course, over time, they will not be so noticeable, but the unevenness of the cover will still be obvious.

Scar treatment can be carried out today in various ways. At the same time, it must be said that some methods have a large number of contraindications, from some there is only a temporary effect. But there are also methods that bring very tangible results that persist over a long period.

Laser scar treatment is considered one of the most effective ways to get rid of skin defects. Using special equipment, deep grinding of the skin is carried out. However, it must be said that this treatment of scars should be carried out by a highly qualified specialist, since this work is very painstaking. Careless actions can lead to the formation of even more noticeable defects. In addition, this procedure should be carried out exclusively in stationary conditions, where the patient is constantly monitored. This will help prevent infection in small wounds that occur after the procedure.

Scar treatment with this method involves the removal of several layers of skin. The depth of removal is determined by a specialist. In this case, the treatment of scars in this case involves several procedures in order to affect deeply lying skin layers.

Another fairly popular method for eliminating skin defects is collagen injection. This method allows to increase the volume of connective tissue filling the cavity. When injecting collagen into the scar, the size of the defect increases. At the same time, the specialist aligns it with the entire skin level. As a result, the scar is smoothed.

As side effects, seals may form, inflammation may appear, and temperature may rise. These reactions indicate that the body rejects collagen. In order to avoid a negative reaction to the drug, the specialist performs a test injection. Within three weeks, the patient is monitored. After this time, it becomes clear whether the injection is contraindicated or not.

However, it should be noted that even if the injection of the drug was successful, then six months later it completely resolves. Scars, respectively, become noticeable again, and the injections have to be repeated.

Another popular method for scar removal is cryosurgery. Procedures involve exposure to cold on problem areas. It should be said that this method can be used only in the presence of shallow scars. Cryopilling is the freezing of the upper skin layers.

The procedure is painless, but after it is carried out, the skin turns red quite strongly. Exfoliation of several layers of the epithelium occurs. After healing of the skin surface, experts recommend the procedure several more times. Cryosurgery can be performed in a closed or open way.

It is recommended that this procedure be carried out in winter, since exposure to UV radiation is undesirable for sensitive skin.
