Biography
Actor Dorofeev Vladimir Andreevich was born on July 5, 1895 in Nizhny Novgorod. In 1917 he graduated from the Nizhny Novgorod Classical Gymnasium, and in 1919 - the Moscow Music and Drama School.
Since 1920, Vladimir Andreevich worked in some theaters in Moscow, as well as in the Kazan Theater. In 1940, the actor entered the service of the Ensemble of the NKVD of the USSR, and in 1947 - in the Army branch of the Maly Theater. Photos of Vladimir Dorofeev can be seen in this article.
First movie role
The actor played his first episodic role in the movie in 1936 in the film "Last Night". Before the Second World War, Vladimir starred in the following films: Friends from the Camp, Virgin Soil Upturned, Lenin in 1918, Girl with Character, Great Life, Lenin and Pozharsky.
Since 1947 he worked at the Lenfilm, Mosfilm, Belarusfilm studios, but in 1949 he returned to the theater stage and until 1964 played on the stage of the Moscow Satire Theater.
Dorofeev vividly and reliably played about 40 hypostases. An interesting fact from the life of Dorofeev is that during his entire career, the actor twice visited the roles of Shchukarâs grandfather in the film âVirgin Soil Upturnedâ in 1939 and 1959.
Dorofeev Vladimir Andreevich received the third-degree Stalin Prize for the role of Shurmin in the film Konstantin Zaslonov, and a year later for the role of Avdey Spiridonovich in the production of The Wedding with the Dowry.
In 1944, Dorofeev received the award "For the Defense of Moscow", and in 1954 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic.

Other artists also sympathized with Vladimir Andreyevich, but only for them he always remained the grandfather of Shchukar from the film Virgin Soil Upturned, which was always surrounded by fun and laughter. In addition to Shchukar, Vladimir played other characters, such as Uncle Vanya, the forester, the huntsman, General Kutuzov. Some of his works in films were small, but very significant, because he experienced each role as his own life.
The great actor left the world in 1974 (a few days before his birthday) in Leningrad and was buried in Moscow at the Vvedensky cemetery.
