On October 18, 2015, the Russian audience first saw the action-packed TV series "Method", filmed by director Yuri Bykov. Initially, the public expected Channel One to show another primitive police detective story. But the plot of The Method turned out to be much more complicated and interesting than anticipated. Now fans are puzzling whether there will be a continuation of the series "Method"? After all, no one wants to part with their favorite heroes.
The ideological inspirers of the project
The main ideological inspirers of the project "Method" are television producers Konstantin Ernst and Alexander Tsekalo.
Ernst is mainly engaged in the production of large-scale paintings, like the epic drama “Viking” with Danila Kozlovsky in the title role or the painting “Vysotsky. Thanks for being alive". Tsekalo in the production world is known for the series “Fartsa” and “Major”.

The main character of the thriller is Rodion Meglin, an extraordinary investigator who, over many years of work in law enforcement agencies, has developed his own unique method for solving crimes. Meghlin is rather closed and uncommunicative, he does not share his best practices with anyone and prefers to conduct each business independently.
Once, a young intern, Yesenia Steklova, is attached to Meglin. The girl heard a lot about the abilities of Rodion Viktorovich and, one might say, she asked for it in his department. But when her cherished desire came true, Steklova received more problems than answers to her questions, because working in tandem with Meglin is another test!
Leading actors
Will the continuation of the series “Method” with Khabensky be the main question for fans of Konstantin Yurievich’s work, because it was the producers of the project who assigned the role of the mysterious Rodion Meglin to him.
Khabensky fell into the category of the highest paid Russian actors in the early 2000s, when he became the main character of Timur Bekmambetov’s bilingual (Night Watch and Day Watch), and also starred in the Hollywood action movie “Especially Dangerous” with Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy .
Then the artist’s success was consolidated by such large-scale paintings as “Admiral”, “State Counselor”, “Spy, Get Out!” and "Collector". In recent years, the artist carefully selects projects for participation, therefore, not so often appears on the screens.
The main female role in the thriller "Method" went to actress Paulina Andreeva. Andreeva is mostly known for the scandalous erotic drama "Locust", where she starred with Peter Fedorov, and the series "Thaw" by Valery Todorovsky.
Also in the frame you can see Alexander Petrov (“Mata Hari”), Makar Zaporizhsky (“Moon”) and Vitaliy Kishchenko (“Executioner”).
"Method" (season 2) with Khabensky: release date
The demonstration of 16 episodes of the 1st season ended on December 20, 2015. Alexander Tsekalo was silent about the question of whether there would be a continuation of the series “Method”. But in March 2017, the producer officially confirmed that the filming of the new season will begin in the summer of 2017.
The producers did not disclose any more information about the project. Perhaps the shooting will again take place in Moscow and the Nizhny Novgorod region, in the scenery familiar to the viewer.
When it became known for sure whether there would be a continuation of the series "Method" with Khabensky, the question immediately arose about the cast of the second season. In the finale of the first season, the protagonist was killed, is one to expect Meglin’s wonderful “resurrection”, as is usually the case in similar American films? Or will the main character of the whole action be Esenia Steklova, whom the mentor will appear only in her memories?

Obviously, in the second season of the series, the main storyline will remain the investigation of the most sophisticated murders. In the frame, as before, much time will be devoted to describing the personal experiences of the heroine Paulina Andreeva, perhaps the personality of Rodion Meglin will somehow slip in the storyline. But this is only speculation - the scriptwriters of the project keep all the events that will take place in the continuation of the series a secret.
