In the center of the story is operative Sergei Kuzmichev. Once he is sent on a new serious task: he must leave for Moscow in order to infiltrate one of the most dangerous criminal groups. At first, everything goes like clockwork: he pretends to be an ordinary guy from the village, who came to the capital to earn money. But these were only flowers ... The real test began when Kuzmichev was right in the center of the local gang warfare. Remaining true to his work and his conscience, Sergey decides to stay in the group and complete the task begun.

The fact is that initially this project was supposed to be released in late May - early June on the NTV television channel. But since at that moment a major political affair flared up around this channel, the prime minister had to be postponed. In Ukraine, the premiere took place in August, and in Russia on October 6, 2001, but already on the TV-6 channel, where the majority of NTV employees went.
In February 2002, everything fell into place again: the rights to broadcast the series passed to NTV, and this company was already engaged in the production of the second season.
