A series of films connected by the general plot narration, staged by director Peter Jackson, which is a movie screen adaptation of the work of J. R. R. Tolkien, is usually called the Hobbit trilogy. The answer to the burning question that worries many fans, as all parts of The Hobbit are called in order, is simple. The trilogy consists of three films: “An Unexpected Journey”, “The Desolation of Smaug” and “The Battle of the Five Armies”, united by the invariable presence of the word “hobbit” in the title.
The first film of 2012
Listing all the components of the Hobbit trilogy (all parts in order), the list of films should begin with the picture "The Hobbit." An Unexpected Journey ”, which was released in 2012. A lot of time has passed since the final part of The Lord of the Rings marched triumphantly on world screens, and in 2012 the first episode was released, chronologically preceding it.
Jackson in Unexpected Journey did not try to start the story from scratch. His project was not in vain originally announced as a colossal flash back: Bilbo (Martin Freeman) appears before the viewer as young, careless and alert, Bilbo before the Ring. But the main achievement of directorial production anachronism is a specific genre shift that has transformed all parts of The Hobbit in order (the list is announced above) from a fairy tale for children into a full-fledged part of the epic-heroic saga. Dwarves, having lost their comic, appear as powerful, battle-hardened warriors, only low. Jackson arranges for them a real test of the fortress, during timekeeping they will have time to run, and fight, and get from bridges, their activity will be a hundred times more active than that of Tolkien.
Plot. The start of the trilogy
The plot of "Travel" offers the viewer the beginning of a chronology of events, which will continue all the parts of the "Hobbit" in order. The list of plot inconsistencies is void. The first episode begins with the fact that the dwarves were forced to leave their historical homeland and wander for a long time through the vast expanses of Middle-earth. They would be glad to return home, but the greedy dragon lives there, nevertheless the prophecies indicate to them that it is time to get even with him. So the 13 most brave gnomes, headed by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) with the hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), under the auspices of the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen), set off on a campaign to the Lonely Mountain.
2013 second film
We continue to review all parts of the Hobbit in order. The list goes on with the film The Hobbit. The Desolation of Smaug ”, released in 2013. The second episode of the trilogy about the adventures of the hobbit Bilbo Baggins during a trip to the Lonely Mountain was in the most advantageous situation, in comparison with the first and third - this is a pure inexorable action. The rapid rhythm of the narrative, high-speed action was a successful decision of the director.
So one of the tasks of the new film adaptation was realized - to more closely tie the trilogy to The Lord of the Rings. The director deliberately introduces a prologue in which the magician Gandalf (Ian McKellen) conspires with the gnome Thorin (Richard Armitage), promising Bilbo (Martin Freeman) to help return the Arkenston gem, a magical artifact of the level of the Omnipotent Ring. The power of Arkenston will be able to unite the seven genera of gnomes, currently disunited. When analyzing the Hobbit trilogy (all parts in order), the second part should lead the list of primacy in artistic value and proximity to the Tolkien idea.
The third film of 2014
Finish learning all the parts of The Hobbit in order. The list closes with the third film “The Hobbit. Battle of the Five Armies ”, which came to the joy of fans in the rental in 2014. The second episode ends at a rather intriguing moment. Dragon Smaug, being free, is ready to incinerate the whole city. The hearts of the audience are compressed in anticipation and it seems that the next series will consist of exciting scenes of the struggle with him. There it was. The violence is predictable and too fast. The detachment of Thorin Oakenshield displaces the dragon from the Lonely Mountain, but both humans and elves claim the treasures longed by the dwarves of Erebor. Orcs continue to terrorize Middle-earth. An epic battle is coming between the forces of evil and good.
Great battle
The final episode of the three-year-long trilogy of Peter Jackson about the adventures of Bilbo and his journey to the Lonely Mountain was criticized by critics as the most watchable, and the audience lounged him more readily than the previous two. It's not about the timing of the part, which is half an hour less than usual. Rather, the prologue with romantic lines and songs ended successfully and a great carnage erupted. The ending of the protracted epic does not disappoint. The director skillfully presents the spectator with spectacular battle scenes in which Legolas ignores all the laws of physics, vile killer worms pop out from under the ground, and Torin, dressed in a goat in chain mail, rushes to Azog at full speed.
