Fruit basket: an interesting recipe

What could be better than a fruit basket of chocolate? To make such a box is so simple that you will be surprised how you did not think of it before. At the same time, the surprise will be very original, and it will be appreciated at any party. 1st step

You will need:

  1. Chocolate (dark: bitter, semi-sweet).
  2. Plastic container (any shape and size).
  3. Wide spatula for even chocolate distribution.
  4. Filler for the basket (whole berries, chopped fruits, nuts, etc.).

Melt the chocolate in a water bath, to do this, place a plate with it in a pot of boiling water so that the bottom of the plate is immersed in water and the edges remain outside. You can also melt it in the microwave.

It is advisable to use dark bitter or semi-sweet chocolate, rather than white or milk chocolate, otherwise the box will be fragile and may crack when solidified.

The recipe is quite simple - when the chocolate melts, evenly distribute it on the inner surface of the plastic container with a spatula or a wide kitchen knife. You can use any shape and size of the container.

It’s not at all necessary to cover the walls of the container with chocolate to the very top, if you want, you can choose the necessary height for them yourself (you must first figure out what your fruit basket will be like).

Now that a fairly thick layer of chocolate has formed at the bottom, tap on the bottom of the container on the back to let out air bubbles and level the surface.

Place the container in the freezer so that the chocolate fruit basket can freeze. Make sure that the layer of chocolate is not too thin and will not crack when you take it out. However, if it is necessary, you can add another layer and re-freeze it. The thicker the basket is, the less likely it is to crack.

5th step

You can use the remaining chocolate by dipping strawberries or other berries and fruits there. Just dip them into the molten mass so that it spreads evenly.

Put the finished berries and fruits on a foil for baking and decorate with pastry topping or powdered sugar. To harden, place the sheet in the freezer.

When the chocolate has hardened, remove it from the freezer. For the fruit basket to be removed without damage, turn the container over and carefully pull its walls in different directions. You will see that the places where the chocolate has separated from the walls of the container become lighter. The areas where it is still adjacent to the container will remain brown, you need to carefully separate them. After you release the walls, gently push the bottom of the container. Now, to finally remove the basket, gently pull it outward, holding the walls. Be careful, hold the bottom of the hand so that it does not fall out and does not break. If it accidentally breaks, you can glue it, also using melted chocolate. Do not worry about minor flaws, when the fruit basket (photo presented in this article) is full, they will not be noticeable.

Now fill it with berries, fruits and sweets. If the walls are high enough, you can decorate it from the outside. That's all! The product is simple in execution, but impressive!
