A traditional Ukrainian dish is borsch with pampushkas. The recipe for this soup consists of many different ingredients that you can add or exclude depending on your taste preferences. But the basis of any variety of dishes is beets. We offer to cook real Ukrainian borsch with donuts.
Recipe
The following ingredients are needed for this dish:
- meat with pits - about 700 grams;
- several fruits of potatoes (300 grams);
- fresh white cabbage (200 grams);
- bell pepper - half a large fruit;
- 1-2 medium-sized beets;
- several tomatoes (or tomato paste);
- beef or pork fat (about 40 grams);
- 1 medium carrot and onion;
- parsley root (about 40 grams);
- a spoonful of sugar and flour;
- a small piece of bacon (20 grams);
- 1-2 cloves of garlic;
- sour cream (about 50 grams);
- salt, spices, herbs.
Cooking technology
1st step
How to cook borsch with donuts? The recipe contains many different ingredients, but technically there is nothing complicated about it. Start by preparing the meat. It must be washed and cooked. It is necessary to cook the meat broth. After boiling, remove the foam, cook pork for 40 minutes, beef - 1-1.5 hours. Remove the meat from the broth. Set to cool. Strain the liquid and let it boil again. Remove all bones from the meat, cut into pieces.
2nd step
Wash the potatoes and cut into small cubes. Pour into boiling broth. Chop cabbage and pepper. Add to potatoes and cook for 20 minutes.
3rd step
In a frying pan, in hot oil, passer beets, carrots, roots and onions. They should be pre-chopped with a knife or grater. At the end, you need to lay tomato paste or fresh chopped tomatoes and a spoonful of flour. Stew for 15 minutes.
4th step
Dress borsch with sautéed vegetables. Salt. Put sugar to taste. After 5 minutes add black pepper, bay leaves, mashed with garlic and parsley lard. Boil borscht. Remove from heat and let it brew. Put sliced meat, sour cream and herbs in portioned dishes.

The photo of the finished buns clearly demonstrates how delicious they can be if you cook them according to the following recipe. To do this, you will need:
- wheat flour - 3 incomplete glasses (about 550 grams);
- plain water (or milk) - 1.5 cups (300 ml);
- granulated sugar - a teaspoon (about 25 grams);
- packaging of dry yeast (10-12 grams);
- chicken egg - 2 pcs.;
- piece of butter (50 grams);
- salt - half a teaspoon;
For garlic dressing:
- 1-2 heads of garlic (eight cloves);
- several tablespoons of vegetable oil (3-4 tablespoons);
- salt;
- incomplete glass of water (180 ml).
Cooking technology
Borsch with donuts - a recipe for Ukrainian national cuisine. Garlic buns are a great addition to a hearty soup. You can cook them by following the instructions:
1st step
Put the flour in a bowl. Pour a bag of dry yeast into it. Shuffle.
2nd step
Heat the milk (or water) to 36-40 degrees. Pour in salt and sugar. Beat the egg. Mix everything thoroughly.
3rd step
Melt a piece of butter. Pour into the egg-sugar mixture. Mix everything again. Add flour gradually. Knead the dough.
4th step
Put the finished dough in a mold, cover with a towel or cling film. Leave to come to a warm place for an hour and a half. Pierce it as it fits.
5th step
After the dough comes up, you need to form balls out of it. The weight of one should be approximately 30-50 grams. Put them on a greased baking sheet. Leave for a while to proof.
6th step
Beat the egg and grease the buns with a silicone brush.
7th step
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Put a baking sheet in it and bake. Approximate time is 15 minutes.
8th step
While preparing the dumplings, make garlic sauce. To do this, rub the garlic with salt, add vegetable oil and cold water.
9th step
Brush the buns with the sauce. Serve hot borsch with donuts.
