Hygroma treatment with folk remedies

Hygroma is a benign cyst that forms in the tissues of the human body and is an accumulation of serous fluid with mucus supplements. Mostly, it appears on the back of the wrist or on the outside of the foot. Most often it is an occupational disease, for example, among musicians, knitters, etc.

The occurrence of hygroma is caused by injuries, bruises, overloads or prolonged physical impact on any area. In some cases, this disease occurs due to physiological tissue weakness. It manifests itself with pressure, causing aching pain and tension. In this case, a mobile tumor is formed, having a round shape, the dimensions of which can vary from 5 mm to 5 cm. Purulent inflammatory processes are sometimes possible. Distinguishes single-chamber and multi-chamber hygroma. The second can spread to other tissues in neighboring areas.

To clarify the diagnosis, fluid is usually taken using a puncture. Sometimes this technique is enough to make the hygroma disappear. The treatment for this disease, however, most often requires surgery. The most painful and unacceptable way to get rid of hygroma is crushing. In this case, fluid is forced through in the joint cavity and it is spilled onto the tissues as a result of rupture of the tumor membrane. Because of this, an inflammatory process can occur, and in the best case, a relapse occurs when the membrane heals and is again filled with liquid. One of the most common manifestations of the disease is hand hygroma. Treatment of this type with puncture is not always effective due to the frequent occurrence of relapses, since the membrane is again filled with a painful fluid over time. Also, treatment with ultraviolet radiation and paraffin baths does not always end successfully.

In order to avoid relapse, the most optimal treatment is surgery. The removal operation should be performed under local anesthesia for 20-30 minutes. After the operation, the stitches can be removed no earlier than a week later. Hygroma of the wrist is also common. Her treatment is a complex process, and in some complex cases, the operation is performed under general anesthesia.

With a diagnosis of hygroma, laser treatment is the most painless and effective. When using this method, there are practically no traces after the operation.

Folk remedies can also help with a hygroma disease. Treatment is often performed with various compresses. Most often, an alcohol compress or compress made from a decoction of lilac is used. You can also apply bitter wormwood to the tumor, which must be crushed and add a 70% alcohol solution to it. The cabbage leaf, which must be greased with honey and applied to the tumor, is also used for treatment. It is recommended that you consume cabbage juice in the morning and evening for one month. All compresses are wrapped with a warm scarf or scarf.

With a hygroma in the elbow joint, you should steam your hand in hot water for half an hour, then grease the sore spot with honey and put parchment paper on it. After that, you need to wrap this place with a warm scarf. This procedure should be performed daily until complete recovery occurs.

There is another alternative method for a disease such as hygroma, treatment involves the use of ficuses. To do this, cut 6 sheets of this plant, pour purified kerosene (half a liter) and leave it in a dark place for 10 days. Then this tincture needs to be filtered. A gauze dressing moistened with sunflower oil is applied to the tumor. A linen napkin is applied to it, which is pre-impregnated with tincture from ficus sheets. This compress is applied for 20 minutes 3-4 times a day.
