It is difficult to protect against colds even in the summer. A small temperature difference, a passion for soft drinks - and that's all, a runny nose, a sore throat, and temperature are guaranteed to you. Therefore, it is necessary to be treated for a cold at any time of the year. One of the drugs that are used in the treatment of colds and related diseases is the drug "Rinikold", instructions for the use of which we will consider in this article.

Composition and principle of action

The drug "Rinikold" is available in the form of tablets and syrup. They differ in composition and name: the syrup is released as "Rinicold broncho." Let's consider them in order.

Let's start with the pills. This is a combined preparation consisting of four components: paracetamol, caffeine, phenylephrine hydrochloride, chlorphenamine maleate. Paracetamol acts as an antipyretic and analgesic. Under the action of phenylephrine, the vessels narrow and the discharge from the nose stops. Chlorphenamine eliminates allergies and swelling, suppresses symptoms of an allergic rhinitis, and helps to facilitate breathing. Caffeine acts on the central nervous system as a stimulant, reducing fatigue and drowsiness and increasing performance. Together, all of these components provide the effectiveness of the Rinikold preparation. Pills make it possible not only to get rid of a cold, but also invigorate the body.

Syrup is also a combination drug. In addition to the phenylephrine and chlorphenamine already known to us, it contains guaifenesin and ambroxol. These components reduce the viscosity of bronchial secretions and facilitate expectoration when coughing.

Indications and method of use

The drug "Rinikold" instructions for use recommends use for acute respiratory diseases, which are accompanied by a runny nose, headache, fever, pain in the muscles and joints, chills. Syrup is recommended to be used in cases where the disease is accompanied by wet cough.

For Rinicold tablets, the instructions for use establish the following dosage order. Adults should take 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours. You can take no more than 8 tablets per day. For children older than 6 years, one tablet is sufficient at the same intervals, no more than 4 times a day. Children should take the drug for no more than 5 days.
