Fried potato: nothing tastes better

In the old Soviet film "Girls", a young cook lists recipes for dishes prepared from ordinary potatoes. There are not enough fingers on the hand to count everything that can be prepared from this familiar, it would seem, product. But, probably, the most favorite dish of the Russians is fried potatoes.

The number of recipes for such a simple dish is impossible to count. Potatoes with mushrooms, with bacon, with meat, fish, chicken, crispy and sour cream, fried potatoes in the oven, microwave, air grill ...

Each mistress has her own, unlike other recipe. In order to make the dish tasty and beautiful, several basic rules must be observed when frying potatoes. Secondly, you can not keep peeled potatoes in water for a long time.

As soon as the fat becomes half as much, and a lot of fat appears in the pan, put the potatoes, sliced ​​in circles (but the form is not essential). Strongly increase the fire, cover. An important point: you can interfere with such a dish only after 10 minutes! Gently turn the circles along with the bacon, cover again with a lid. After another 10 minutes, the fire is made weak, the lid is removed, potatoes and bacon are sprinkled with chopped herbs, onions, and pepper. For piquancy, you can add 1 chopped garlic clove. Again, gently mix, leave until cooked, then salt. This is a very tasty but heavy dish, so you should not abuse it.

Fried potatoes with mushrooms, especially forest ones , are no less tasty. Mushrooms (fresh or frozen) are fried in a separate pan with onions. In another bowl, potatoes are fried until crisp. Ready mushrooms with onions are transferred to the potatoes, mixed, add a spoonful of sour cream, cover with a lid. They simmer until tender, and then salt. Delicate, fragrant fried potatoes, the taste of which depends on the variety of mushrooms, can even decorate a festive table.

Surprise guests with a long-forgotten recipe for potato share (or payl). It is rubbed on a Korean grater with a long thin straw, carefully dried, sprinkled with starch. Fry for several minutes in a large amount of oil over a very high fire, salt, put on paper towels to leave excess fat. Fried straws are much tastier and healthier than any chips.

Fried potatoes in an air grill does not take time to cook at all. It should be cut (but not completely), greased on all sides with oil, add your favorite spices and leave in the air grill on the lower grill for about half an hour.
