Homemade cakes are not like cheesecakes and pies from the dining room, so I especially like it. Baking from yeast dough occupies a leading position. But today we’re not talking about her. Speaking about the airiness and incredible ease of baking, I immediately recall a layer cake with fish.
No dough can provide products from it as light as this. The sweet Napoleon as well as the layer cake with fish are equally tasty. Such a dough can be bought in a store or prepared independently at home. It will depend only on your free time. We will consider both options to give you the opportunity to use them, depending on the circumstances.
Puff pastry with fish from the finished dough
The components of this cake are simple and are available in any refrigerator. To prepare this delicious pastry, we take: a package of puff pastry weighing one kilogram, four eggs, a bunch of parsley, onion and dill, one hundred grams of mayonnaise, two hundred grams of cheese, one or two cans of canned mackerel.
Thaw the dough beforehand, after which we divide it into four identical parts, each of which is rolled out according to the shape. Boil eggs, cool and chop. We wash the greens under running water, dry with a napkin and chop. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Knead the canned food with a fork along with the juice. We grease the form with margarine and put the first layer of rolled dough into it. Lubricate it with mayonnaise and evenly put canned fish. We cover with a second layer of dough, which is also lubricated with mayonnaise. Sprinkle with chopped egg.
Cover with a third layer of dough. Lubricate with mayonnaise and put chopped greens. Next is the fourth layer, on top of which a layer of mayonnaise and grated cheese. The edges of the pie should be joined. It is most convenient to lay out the very first layer so that raised edges are obtained to the top of the form. Such a cake is baked for about twenty minutes in a preheated oven (up to two hundred degrees). The product is not only tasty, but also very satisfying. One pie is enough for a tea party of four or five people.
Puff pastry with fish from homemade dough
For this pie you will need: three hundred grams of smoked fish fillet , one hundred grams of cheese, two onions, two eggs, two hundred and fifty grams sour cream, two hundred grams of margarine, two glasses of flour, one hundred grams of water, salt, fifty grams of butter and black pepper.
It is convenient to cook such a dough in a food processor. Pour a glass of flour into the bowl and add the frozen margarine, previously cut into several pieces. Pour the rest of the flour from above and, in the grinding mode, turn these components into large crumbs. Add cold water, salt, black pepper and knead a homogeneous dough. We take it out of the combine, wrap it in polyethylene and put it in the refrigerator to insist.
Coarsely rub the cheese. Mix the eggs with sour cream, pepper and salt. Peel the onions and thinly cut into half rings. Lightly fry in oil. Smoked fish fillet cut into small pieces. We take out the chilled dough and roll it into a sufficiently large layer. Lubricate the mold with oil. We spread the dough, at the same time forming high edges. Mix sour cream, onion and fish. We spread this filling on top of the dough. Sprinkle with a good layer of grated cheese. Such a cake will be baked for forty to sixty minutes in an oven preheated to one hundred and eighty degrees.
