Seborrhea. Treatment

Each person understands that the most important thing in life is the preservation of their health, which will always look attractive, as well as feel good. We can provoke many diseases on our own, if we neglect the advice of nutritionists and expose the body to excessive stress. Seborrhea is considered one of these diseases , its treatment must be carried out under the close attention of dermatologists and trichologists. Carefully relate to the first manifestations of the disease, immediately consult a specialist.

What is seborrhea? This is a state of the body characterized by a hormonal imbalance in which the functioning of the sebaceous glands changes: an increased amount of sebaceous secretion is produced, which contains a large amount of free fatty acids. Thus, the effectiveness of protective barriers decreases, favorable conditions for the introduction of pathogenic agents are created. Violation of the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, endocrine apparatus, nervous system - because of all this, seborrhea occurs, treatment must be carried out taking into account the etiology.

Most often, seborrhea occurs cyclically, but sometimes, having appeared in adolescence, by the age of 27 it disappears without a trace. If the process is chronic, then seborrheic dermatitis occurs . The disease affects those areas of the skin on which sebaceous glands are located in large numbers : the T-shaped area of the face, scalp, upper back and decollete.

There are three forms of seborrhea, which proceed differently.

Fatty seborrhea is caused by a decrease in the elasticity of the skin, as well as the expansion of the mouths of the sebaceous glands. The skin is glossy due to the release of a large amount of sebum, while the pores expand, which are often filled with corks of dark color - comedones or black acne rashes. Hair gets oily quickly. This condition is characterized by abundant content of yellowish skin flakes. If you have such seborrhea, treatment should begin when the first symptoms appear , since it is possible to develop purulent inflammations that spread very quickly.

Dry seborrhea is characterized by a decrease in sebum production with a large number of scales of dandruff, which covers the hair and scalp. The reason is that due to a decrease in immunity, the skin fungus -Malassezia Furfur is activated. This leads to a violation of the natural desquamation of epithelial cells, which causes a large amount of dandruff, and the hair structure becomes thin and dry, their fragility increases. Often there is hair loss. One of the symptoms characteristic of dry seborrhea is split ends.

For mixed seborrhea, a combination of symptoms of dry and oily forms in various areas of the skin is characteristic.

A fairly common skin disease is seborrheic keratoma. More often it occurs in people aged 40 years and older. Seborrheic keratoma is a benign tumor. Its appearance is associated with heredity. The number and localization of keratomas are different, but more often they are located on the hands, face and body. In men, the risk of developing seborrheic keratomas is significantly higher than in women.

If you have seborrhea, treatment should include a set of measures aimed at normalizing the functioning of the digestive tract, nervous system. For this, such medicines are used: preparations of bromine, calcium, vitamins of groups A and B, antipsychotics. In addition, it is necessary to treat the affected areas of the skin (solutions of soda, salicylic or boric acids, sulfur powders or mixtures with ichthyol). It is recommended to carry out ultraviolet therapy and stimulating treatment.
