How to cook potatoes baked in foil

Potato is one of the main products that is included in the daily diet of almost every person. This is explained, for the most part, by the high versatility of this vegetable. After all, it can be fried, boiled, and steamed both separately and with other ingredients. A large number of nutrients preserves potatoes baked in foil.

This dish can be prepared in different ways. For example, one of the simplest recipes, which will result in a potato that resembles baked on coals to taste. For starters, it is worth taking tubers, it is better to take them of medium size, since too large can be poorly baked, and too small can burn quickly. Potatoes are peeled, washed, dried with a paper towel. Each tuber is rubbed with salt and pepper, wrapped in a piece of foil so that it is completely wrapped. The oven is heated to maximum temperature, a baking sheet is placed on it, on which the potatoes are located. I must say that the baking time may vary depending on the size of the vegetable, the features of the oven and other reasons. Therefore, after 15-20 minutes it is worth taking the largest potato, slightly expand the foil and look at its appearance. The finished dish has a bright golden hue, pleasant to the eye. Also, the degree of readiness can be checked by piercing the root crop with a sharp knife.

It is better to take young potatoes, the skin of which is not peeled, but only slightly scraped off. If the tubers are large, then it is better to cut them into halves. Chopped garlic, dill, rosemary mix well, are added to the potatoes along with salt. Each piece is wrapped in foil, laid out on a baking sheet and put in the oven for 15 minutes. After this time, the foil can be removed and left to bake for another 10 minutes, so that a golden crust appears on top.

The next recipe, according to which potatoes baked in foil are prepared, can be served on the festive table, as it can become an independent snack. For example, for the next recipe you will need hard cheese, slices of bacon, butter. The potato is washed, peeled if necessary (on a young vegetable you can only slightly scrape the shell with a stiff brush). In the middle of each tuber, a thickening about a centimeter is cut out. Potato is salted, peppered. A slice of bacon, a little butter, thinly sliced ​​cheese are placed in the cut middle.
