For cooking, we will need the following ingredients:

  • wild strawberries - 700 grams;
  • sugar - 600 grams;

First you need to boil the syrup, mixing water with sugar, to the state of "soft ball". You can check this in the following way: drop a little syrup into a glass of cold water. If after a few minutes you can roll a ball from the chilled mixture with your fingers, the syrup is ready.

Sorted and washed berries should be poured into pre-prepared syrup and carefully (to maintain the integrity of the berries) mix everything.

Cook jam in one go, for 15 minutes. It can be removed when the foam ceases to form on the surface of the mixture, and the jam becomes dark in color and thick. The easiest way to determine its readiness is to drip a little syrup on a plate. The jam is ready if the drop does not blur. This is a very simple recipe, as you can see. Forest strawberry jam must be cooled before being stored. To do this, it should be poured into enameled dishes and wait a bit.
