Spazmalgon instruction refers to non-narcotic analgesics. The drug has an antispasmodic effect. The combination of the three components in the composition of the medication allows you to alleviate pain, reduce fever, and relax smooth muscles.
Active substances: pitofen hydrochloride, metamizole sodium, fenpiverinium bromide. Auxiliary components: wheat starch, lactose monohydrate, sodium bicarbonate, magnesium stearate, talc, gelatin.

The drug is prescribed for moderate or mild pain syndrome against spasms of smooth muscles in the internal organs: hepatic, renal colic, pain along the intestines of a spastic nature, algodismenorea. Spazmalgon instruction allows for use in short-term symptomatic therapy with myalgia, sciatica, neuralgia, joint pain. As an auxiliary component, the drug is used to reduce the intensity of pain after surgical or diagnostic interventions. The medication, if necessary, is prescribed at elevated temperature against a background of infectious-inflammatory and colds.
Spazmalgon. Instructions: contraindications
No medication is prescribed for unstable and stable angina, inhibition of bone marrow hematopoiesis, at the stage of decompensation of chronic heart failure, with severe disorders of the liver and kidney functions, tachyarrhythmia, deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase. The drug is also contraindicated in case of intestinal obstruction, angle-closure glaucoma, prostate hyperplasia with a predisposition to urinary retention, granulocytopenia, megalocone.
Spazmalgon is not prescribed during pregnancy (especially in the last six weeks and the first trimester of gestation), children under six years of age, with lactation.
With a tendency to develop arterial hypotension, bronchospasm, patients with impaired renal and hepatic function, with individual hypersensitivity to non-narcotic analgesics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, the drug is prescribed with extreme caution.
Medication for patients over fifteen years of age is prescribed orally, preferably after meals, one or two tablets no more than three times a day. A day should not take more than six tablets.
The duration of the drug is not more than five days.
If necessary, increase the dosage or duration of therapy can only be done by a specialist.
Children should use the drug only on the recommendation of a doctor. Patients aged six to eight years are prescribed half a tablet, from nine to twelve years - three quarters, from thirteen to fifteen years - a tablet no more than three times a day.
Side effects when taking the drug "Spazmalgon": headache, dry mouth, dizziness, burning sensation in the epigastrium (under the breast), cyanosis, decreased blood pressure, anticholinergic reactions (difficulty urinating, decreased sweating, etc.), tachycardia, anuria, interstitial nephritis, oliguria, impaired renal function, red staining of urine. Prolonged use of the medication can provoke leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis. In some cases, urticaria, exudative erythema (multiforme), Quincke's edema, Lyell syndrome (epidermal toxic necrolysis), anaphylactic shock are noted.
An overdose of the drug is accompanied by a decrease in sweating, dry mouth, nausea, drowsiness, decreased blood pressure, confusion, convulsions, and impaired liver and kidney function. Assign in such a condition gastric lavage, activated charcoal, as well as symptomatic therapy.
