In winter, I really want different berries! This dream is easy to achieve. It is enough just to save them correctly - and you will always have healthy and tasty stocks at home. In this article, we can conserve cherries. The recipes are offered a variety of - with sugar, without it, a berry in its own juice, as well as compote.
Cherry preservation
For eight servings, you will need 2 kilograms of cherries, 400 grams of granulated sugar and one liter of water.
Conservation Process:
- Sterilize jars and lids.
- Wash the cherry and remove the seeds from it.
- Pour all the sugar into a large saucepan and fill it with water.
- Put the pot on the fire and bring its contents to a boil.
- Make the heat medium and continue cooking until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- When you get syrup in the pan, add the whole cherry and boil it for five minutes.
- Remove the foam resulting from cooking.
- Fill the jars with cherry and syrup one at a time, leaving a couple of centimeters to the edge empty.
- If the edges are dirty, wipe them off with a clean cloth or paper towel.
- Close the jars with lids, but not tightly.
- Sterilize jars of cherry for fifteen minutes.
- Close the covers tightly.
- Cool the cans.
Canned cherries are ready!
Cherry in own juice
This jam is done without the use of water, so you only need to take three kilograms of cherries and 400 grams of granulated sugar.
Operating procedure:
- Prepare cans and lids for preservation.
- Wash cherries, get rid of spoiled berries.
- Squeeze out the bones as desired.
- Fill each jar with berries almost to the top.
- Sprinkle sugar on top of the berries. There are four tablespoons per serving.
- Let the banks just stand for fifteen minutes. During this time, the cherry itself will settle down a bit.
- When the berries are tamped, lay a few more cherries on top to make the jar full.
- Take a wide pan and cover it with a towel.
- Fill the pan with cans of cherries, previously covering them with lids.
- Pour cold water into the pan.
- Bring the water to a boil and sterilize the jars for fifteen to twenty minutes.
- Take out the cans and roll them with lids.
- Allocate a nook for cans, lay a towel there, put inverted containers on it. Wrap them with a blanket or a large towel.
- Let the banks cool.
Canned cherry in its own juice is ready!
Cherry Sugar Free
The berries prepared in this way will taste sour and will be useful not only for creating desserts, but also as the main ingredient for cooking compote.
We make canned cherries without sugar:
- Wash the berries and remove the seeds from them.
- Prepare cans for preservation.
- Fill the jar with berries, while the cherries need to be tightly packed.
- Cover the containers with lids.
- Take a large pan and cover it with a towel.
- Put the cans in the pan and pour cold water into it.
- Bring the water to a boil and sterilize the jars for twenty-five minutes.
- Pull out the cans and roll them up with lids.
- Cool the preservation.
Cherry without sugar is ready! Keep this product in a cool place.
Cherry preservation in the oven
For ten small jars you will need to take:
- 3 kilograms of cherries;
- 2 lemons for juice;
- 4 tablespoons of sugar for each can (total 40 tablespoons).
Conservation Instructions:
- Prepare cans and lids for preservation.
- Wash the cherries in cold water.
- Remove the bones if you want, but this is not necessary.
- Fill each jar halfway with cherries.
- Sprinkle sugar on top.
- Fill the jar with water, but not to the brim.
- Squeeze out a little lemon juice.
- Place the cans covered with lids on a baking sheet and place it in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.
- Fill the pan with hot water.
- Leave the cans in the oven for one hour.
- When the water in the container boils, lower the temperature to 150 degrees.
- Let the cans stand in the oven for another half hour.
- Pull out the jars and set them to cool.
Canned cherries in the oven are ready!
Canned Stewed Cherry
Such a drink will be successful throughout the winter, when you really want something tasty and fragrant.
We make canned compote from cherries:
- Rinse the cherry and sort it out (get rid of small berries, these are not suitable for compote).
- Pour the cherries with cold water and let them stand for one and a half to two hours.
- Make sugar syrup. To do this, dissolve the sugar in water and bring everything to a boil (for one kilogram of cherries half a kilogram of sugar and 400 grams of water are taken).
- Tightly put the cherries in a jar, filling it 1/3.
- Pour the cherries into the jar.
- Cover the jars with lids.
- Sterilize the jars. Each volume has its own sterilization time: for a half-liter - 15 minutes, for a liter - 20 minutes, for a three-liter - 40-45 minutes.
- Cool the jars with compote.
A delicious drink is ready!
Canned Cherry. Recipes, application
This jam is actually not only good for tea in winter evenings. There are a large number of desserts, which include canned cherries.
Recipes for possible dishes:
- Puff envelopes. Make or buy ready-made puff pastry. Open the canned cherries and strain them from the syrup. Roll out the dough sheets and cut it into small pieces. Put a tablespoon of cherries in the center of each. Gently roll a piece and place on a baking sheet. Place a baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake puffs. When ready, remove the envelopes and decorate them with icing sugar.
- Pancakes with cherries. Cook the pancakes and wrap the cherry berries inside. Top with syrup and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Cake "Winter Cherry". Mix together 3 cups flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder and 200 grams of margarine. Add 3 yolks and 200 grams of sour cream. Knead the dough and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Divide the dough into eight pieces. Beat the remaining proteins with 3 cups of sugar. Roll one part of the dough and grease it with the proteins on which lay the cherry. Put the second part of the dough on top. Place everything in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Make the same three more such parts. Make a cream. To do this, add 1.5 tablespoons of milk to 1.5 cups of milk and dissolve it. Boil another 1.5 cups of milk and pour into the previous one. Rub together a glass of powdered sugar and 300 grams of butter. Add milk and flour to this mass. Lubricate all the cakes and connect them together.
