Frozen green beans - both tasty and healthy!

Frozen green beans are often used today in cooking. It can be purchased at any supermarket, and it costs very little. In addition, the beneficial properties of fresh and frozen green beans are known to everyone: it is low-calorie, improves and speeds up the digestion process, improves blood circulation due to its high iron content, lowers sugar levels, and has a calming effect.

My family loves spicy oriental and Mexican dishes, so I often cook my favorite Mexican burrito with beans. It is incredibly tasty. You can cook a burrito in just half an hour. If you do not know what to cook from green beans, try it. You will not be disappointed, I assure you.

What do you need for this:

  • thin tortilla cakes - 8 pcs;
  • olive oil - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • small green pepper - 1 pc;
  • small red pepper - 1 pc;
  • onion;
  • ground cumin (zira) - half a teaspoon;
  • frozen green beans - 400 grams;
  • frozen or canned corn - 200-250 grams;
  • tomato - 1 pc;
  • ketchup - 3 tbsp. spoons;
  • garlic;
  • cilantro.

Cooking

Heat the cakes in the microwave. Finely chop the onion and pepper at this time. The latter should first be cleaned of seeds. Beans and corn literally for a few seconds pour boiling water so that they unfreeze and soften a little. Chop the tomato. Put a frying pan with olive oil on the fire, heat it, then pour onion, pepper, garlic and fry for a couple of minutes over medium heat. Then add cumin and simmer for another minute. Put corn, beans, tomatoes in a pan and mix thoroughly. Add some ketchup and water. Cook over low heat for about three minutes.

Spread the hot mixture in the center of each tortilla, sprinkle with cilantro and grated cheese, pour over yogurt. Served burrito hot to each person in portions.

Also my favorite dish is chicken, for which I am preparing a side dish of green beans. Making it is also easy, but the result will exceed all your expectations!

So, based on 2 people you need:

  • chicken meat (thighs, wings, drumstick, chicken legs) - 2 pcs;
  • frozen green beans - 100 grams;
  • bell pepper - 1 pc;
  • garlic;
  • onion;
  • olive oil for frying;
  • salt and pepper;
  • rosemary, provencal herbs;
  • greens.

Cooking

Rinse and dry the chicken meat thoroughly. Pour oil into a large pan and put on fire. When the oil is already hot, put chicken on it. Fry meat on both sides until golden crisp. While it is fried, cut the onion into thin half rings and carefully spread around the chicken. Fry a couple of minutes.

Paprika peel from the tail and seeds and chop. Frozen green beans are also cut into several parts. Add pepper and beans to the onion. Fry all for 5-7 minutes. Finely chop the garlic or pass through a press and also add to the pan along with salt and seasonings. Cover the pan and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

The dish is served hot, sprinkled with chopped herbs. Boiled young potatoes or spaghetti with cheese can also be served with chicken and beans .
