How to cook millet porridge? Cereals are sorted out (all impurities and grains with unsealed husks are removed), washed and boiled in milk or water with or without oil. To improve the taste of the dish, millet is slightly fried until golden until cooking. Millet porridge is good with fruits or berries for breakfast. For lunch, a side dish of millet can be an alternative to potatoes or rice, and cereal can also be added to soup.

- 1/3 cup millet, washed and sorted;
- ¾ cup of water;
- ½ cup skim milk or ½ cup soy milk ;
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon (useful for people suffering from hypertension);
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla sugar;
- 1 pinch of salt;
- 2 tablespoons of raisins (or more to taste);
- maple syrup or honey to taste.
Pour water and milk into a small pan, pour millet, cinnamon, vanilla, salt and raisins. Stir and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a minimum, cover and cook for 25 minutes without stirring. If the liquid is not completely absorbed by the cereal, then continue cooking for another 5 minutes or longer. Remove from heat, watered with maple syrup or honey. It turns out very tasty millet porridge!

This recipe describes how to cook millet porridge only from cereals and water. Vegetables can be steamed separately. Porridge is good for a diet lunch or dinner. Ingredients:
- ¼ cup of millet, before cooking, the croup is sorted and washed in two waters;
- 1 ½ cup filtered water.
How to cook millet porridge for a diet dinner? There are no difficulties here. Pour water into the pan, pour the cereal. At high temperature, bring to a boil, stir. Boil over very low heat for an hour and a half or two, as a result, the grains become soft and very tasty. Porridge is ready!

A soft, creamy, aromatic breakfast is necessary for children. How to cook a delicious millet porridge? You need to choose high-quality cereals and good cow's milk. All millet grains should be large, even, without damage, and their color should be yellow. Do not use pale yellow or beige millet. Real milk is characterized by a saturated (not transparent!) White, and sometimes even slightly creamy color. Products for 4 servings of porridge are taken in the following ratio:
- 1 cup of millet;
- 1 cup of milk;
- 1 cup of filtered water;
- salt.
Milk and water are poured into a medium-sized pot, mixed and sprinkled with cereal, salt is added. Bring the mixture to a boil. Cook for 20 minutes, stir occasionally. Before serving, the dish is seasoned to taste: sprinkled with dried fruits, add honey or olive oil.
