Garlic is one of the oldest spices cultivated in many countries. Mention of the medicinal properties of vegetable crops were found in the annals of Avicenna. A wonderful and useful product has been widely used not only in alternative medicine, but also in the food industry. Due to its bright aroma and pungent taste, it is used as an indispensable element in culinary in the East, in Asia, America, Spain, and Russia.
Few people know that not only the bulbs or teeth themselves, but also the arrows and shoots of garlic are suitable for eating. The recipe for their preparation is very simple. Green arrows serve as a wonderful snack, feathers are added to various sauces, to meat, fish, and combined with vegetables. A rich dish enriched with vitamins diversifies the daily diet. To prepare it you need to buy:
- three hundred grams of young veal;
- 200 gr. green feathers of garlic;
- head of red onion.
Refueling products: dessert spoon of potato starch, zira, basil, 40 ml of soy sauce, Β½ teaspoon of sugar and salt. Take a glass of water, ginger, red and black pepper, chili, also soybean oil for frying.
Technological process
Only green feathers are suitable for food, without flowering arrows. Cut each shoot into small pieces. We remove the film from the veal and remove the veins. Using a sharp knife, chop the meat into thin strips, like goulash. In a deep frying pan or cauldron, heat the soybean oil, pass the chopped onion on it, then add the pieces of veal. After the meat turns golden, put the young shoots of garlic.
The recipe implies the presence of a spicy marinade. While the ingredients are simmering in a pan (about 7 minutes), we will prepare a dressing. In purified boiled water, dissolve salt, starch, sugar, pour in soy sauce, add grated ginger, a set of peppers and other seasonings.
The resulting liquid is sent to the cauldron. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat. The main thing is not to digest the green feathers, otherwise they will turn into porridge and will be tasteless. Garlic shoots with meat, the recipe of which is easy, can be tasted in Chinese restaurants.

- a kilogram of chicken wings;
- shoots of garlic (recipe includes 50 g of feathers);
- potato (300 g);
- Β½ fresh white cabbage;
- two carrots;
- onion (2 pcs.);
- tomato paste (100 g) or fresh tomatoes (5 pcs.);
- a stem of celery, parsley, dill;
- seasonings: two leaves of lavrushka, black pepper, thyme.
Let's start cooking
Preparing the dish is not quite the usual way. Before boiling the broth, you should bake the wings. Pre-rinse them, put them on a parchment sheet. From above we make a βfur coatβ of celery, circles of one carrot, onion rings. We put in the oven for 15 minutes. If you want to get a golden crust, grease the skin with honey or vegetable oil.
We put the baked meat along with the vegetables in a pan, fill it with water. When the broth boils, add the lavrushka, thyme, shredded greens (parsley, dill). Leave on the stove for another 10 minutes. Shred the onion, rub the carrots, and then pass the vegetables in oil. After add chopped tomatoes or tomato paste.
Pour chopped cabbage, diced potatoes, fried vegetables, garlic feathers, black pepper with thyme and salt into the broth. Cook for 10 minutes. A hearty low-calorie dish will satisfy your hunger, fill it with vitamins and not add extra pounds.
Pickled Garlic Shoots
You will enjoy the recipe with speed of execution and affordability, replenish the culinary treasury and surprise you with a crispy taste. The following components will be required per liter jar:
- garlic arrows (how much will fit in a container);
- products for the marinade: five tablespoons of salt, granulated sugar (30 g), 9% vinegar (100 ml).
Instruction manual
We sterilize the glass containers, rammed into it well-washed green feathers. They can be laid as a whole, or cut into small strips. We fill the container with boiling water, cover with a lid and do not touch for 5 minutes. We make a marinade: dissolve salt with sugar in water. We remove the liquid from the can and fill it with the solution, then pour the vinegar, which will serve as a preservative. After two days, you can use the pickled shoots of garlic.
