It happens that after a long ride on a carousel or traveling on a ship (especially during pitching), we feel dizzy. This is quite normal: the vestibular apparatus, located in the human body in the inner ear, gave a temporary glitch from a sharp change in body position in space. Then the surrounding objects slowly float in front of our eyes, and the soil "leaves under our feet." Sometimes this sensation is accompanied by nausea and vomiting. But once we stand on solid ground, the sense of balance returns. But there are people who quite often suffer from dizziness. What are the reasons for this?
My head is spinning both from stress, nervous tension and quarrel, and from sudden pleasant sensations - news of a big win, declaration of love, etc. This occurs due to the release of adrenaline into the blood, which in turn leads to spasm of the brain vessels and temporary oxygen starvation of nerve cells. Sometimes we feel the same sense of height. This is also a completely normal phenomenon, although it is far from being observed by everyone: after contemplating distant objects, it is difficult for the eyes to focus on those close to them. The most common pathogenic causes of severe dizziness are high or, conversely, low blood pressure. Therefore, first of all, it should be measured whether this indicator deviates from the norm.
But what if you often feel dizzy with normal pressure? This sensation may be a symptom of latent diseases. First of all, those that lead to a violation of the brain’s nutrition with oxygen and blood. Vegetovascular dystonia is just one of these many ailments. If you have a slender physique and you often have numb hands during sleep, your frequent dizziness is most likely caused by this disease. Anemia, or iron deficiency in the blood, also causes this unpleasant sensation of instability. Exhausting diets directly affect the oxygen saturation of the brain.
Dizziness at normal pressure is a faithful companion of osteochondrosis or curvature of the ridge. In this case, the vertebral artery is compressed, and the supply of blood to the brain is disrupted. But with this ailment, the sensation that everything is double in the eyes is long and accompanied by impaired coordination of movement, weakness and headaches. The same symptoms plus the feeling of “cotton legs” a person experiences when approaching a stroke. Then you need to call an ambulance. Similar, but transient, phenomena can occur with certain medications. A headache with dizziness and nausea indicates migraines.
There are other reasons. Dizziness under normal pressure can be caused by a disease of the vestibular apparatus itself, which is responsible for a sense of balance. Vertigo is accompanied by nausea or vomiting, cold sweat and a worsening of the general condition. Trauma, concussion, otitis media and labyrinthitis (inflammation of the middle ear) can also turn the head. Rupture of the eardrum is also dangerous.
If you are dizzy at normal pressure, then there is no better way than to lie down on a flat surface, so that the head is at the same level with the shoulders - so the missing blood will enter your brain. If this feeling caught you on the street - just sit down on a bench and close your eyes. You can not make sudden movements. If the discomfort does not leave you for more than two days, or dizziness attacks attack you too often - call a doctor at home. In no case should you neglect these symptoms.
