Body temperature from birth is the main indicator of human health, which is not only due to the fact that this parameter can be easily determined without special laboratory supplies, but also because normal body temperature is the main indicator of the work of all metabolic processes in our body.
Normal body temperature is 36.6 degrees Celsius, it is with it that the normal functioning of all substances in the body is possible. Why is body temperature in excess of 42 degrees considered fatal? Because it causes protein denaturation in the body, that is, all protein, which plays a huge role in the normal functioning of our body, will undergo irreversible changes and entail changes in the functioning of the body, which, as they say, will be "incompatible with life."
What does low body temperature mean?
Most often, this means the presence of objective external factors that can cause hypothermia. Lower body temperature in most cases is associated with hypothermia. At least, we can talk about this until it fell below 33 degrees. What is this expressed in? In humans, a normal reaction of the body to cold is observed, that is, chills, inhibition, and weakness throughout the body appear. A person with this type of hypotension is conscious, and his breathing and pulse slows down, while blood pressure slightly increases. In the event that a person has a lowered body temperature due to cold factors, then most often it will not have any serious pathological effects on the normal functioning of the body in the future, it is enough to eliminate the causes of the decrease in temperature and allow the person to warm up.
In most cases, no hypothermia should cause a person to have problems with the functioning of his brain. Therefore, if due to the fact that a person has a lowered body temperature, he loses consciousness, then this is a sign of the onset of consequences that are irreversible for the body and immediate medical attention is required.
Persistent hypothermia
Permanent hypothermia is observed in those people who have a significant decrease in heat production, for example, in the elderly or in those who are characterized by a very fragile physique. Constantly lowered body temperature negatively affects the work of all internal organs, in particular, the functioning of the cardiovascular system.
How to deal with it? First of all, a person needs more physical exercises, you should also be more attentive to your diet, in particular, food should be not only tasty, but also nutritious, and ensure the normal functioning of the entire organism.
Diseases with a decreased body temperature
Most often, such diseases include endocrine disorders. In particular, if the normal functioning of such an organ of the endocrine system as the thyroid gland is disturbed, pallor of the skin, drowsiness, fatigue, and reduced heat production can be observed.
Reduced body temperature in a child due to a violation of the normal functioning of the thyroid gland can have rather negative consequences for his whole life in the future, because the development of his mental abilities directly depends on the normal functioning of this organ.
With hypotension, hypothermia is observed in most patients. In the event that it does not go beyond the boundaries of the conditional norm, this does not give any additional negative consequences for the body.
