An Apple

An apple is a fruit of an even more ancient origin. Many nations have endowed it with magic to this day. The English have the saying, "A day for an apple, and a doctor is not needed."

It is very difficult to list all the useful properties of an apple , a whole scientific treatise will come out of this, therefore, for the sake of justice, we will name only those organs of the human body that the apple affects positively: heart and blood vessels, brain, liver, teeth, gastrointestinal tract, gall bladder. Apples are recommended for women to use during pregnancy and menopause, to normalize blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, and high cholesterol. Fruits, seeds, a skin of a fruit, even a stub are useful - in it the concentration of many useful substances is the highest.

Stewed apples and plums. Tasty and healthy!

Plum or apple are excellent ingredients for various dishes. They are boiled, baked, stewed, dried. Sauces, jams, jellies, mashed potatoes, compotes - this is not a complete list of dishes that can be prepared separately from plums or apples, or combining them with other products.

The fastest, but despite the ease and speed of preparation, a delicious dish that can combine these two fruits is a compote of apples and plums. You can prepare this wonderful drink for everyday use - while maintaining the beneficial properties of the fruits as much as possible, or you can make a blank for the winter. In this case, compote will remain both tasty and useful, but some of the substances the body needs will lose its properties due to longer heat treatment.

Compote without sterilization

One of the easiest ways to prepare a drink for the winter is a compote of apples and plums without sterilization.

A three-liter jar will need 8-10 apples of summer varieties, 5-6 plums, 1.5 cups of granulated sugar and three liters of water. You can change the proportion of fruits in the drink, or you can reduce or increase the total number of apples and plums. After all, someone loves delicious water more, someone eats fruit with pleasure, someone had a good harvest of apples, someone - plums. No matter how you make proportions, the compote will be tasty and beautiful.

It is better to take plums for compote whole, washing them and separating the stalks. Bones give the drink a special taste, and the fruit will not fall apart in a jar and will have a beautiful appearance.

Rinse apples, cut into slices, free from the stub.

Compote jars must be thoroughly washed with soda and steamed in the oven or over a pot of boiling water. Boil the lids.

It is recommended to fill the jar with one-third fruit. Everything is ready, now it's time to pour boiling water over the fruits. It must be poured carefully. If you pour boiling water immediately with a strong stream, the jar may burst. Compote must be infused for 5-10 minutes.

Now you need to pour sugar into the pan and pour out the water from the jar using the lid with holes and boil everything. Sugar should be completely dissolved. Ready syrup is poured into fruit jars. Banks are rolled up and turned upside down. Once they have cooled, you can remove the finished compote in a secluded place for storage.

Stewed fruit prepared in this way can be perfectly stored both in a cool basement and at room temperature.
