In the modern world, which has a huge number of different specialties, the prevention of occupational diseases is becoming increasingly important. Indeed, during the course of labor, each worker is exposed to numerous factors of the working environment that negatively affect the human body. Unfortunately, the complete exclusion of adverse circumstances from the work environment is simply impossible. In this regard, a procedure such as the prevention of diseases resulting from professional activities becomes a necessity.
Factors of the working environment that negatively affect the working capacity and health of citizens relate to occupational hazards that may be caused by the working environment or improper organization of the labor process. In some cases, such phenomena become the main cause of the pathological course. Prevention of
occupational diseases helps to reduce the risk of a particular illness in a particular person. Also, some harmful factors cause a decrease in the body's resistance to other infections.
Prevention of occupational diseases should be carried out even in enterprises where the most advanced technologies have been introduced. Such measures in factories are aimed primarily at the maximum removal of harmful substances, replacing them with safer ones. At enterprises with diffuse sources of harmful formations, general ventilation is installed. It, as a rule, is organized in the form of special suction from hazard zones. To effectively combat toxic dust, additional measures are most often used. Only safe materials should be used as decoration.
However, the prevention of occupational diseases should also come from the workers themselves. For example, the specificity of work in
catering points is that workers work a lot while standing, as a result of which certain diseases appear. Very often there is an expansion of veins, and women are more prone to it. With prolonged work in an upright position, the heart cannot provide normal blood circulation. At the
first signs of the disease, they usually wear special elastic stockings that can protect against complications. It is recommended to do five-minute massages from the foot to the knee before the start of the working day and at the end.
It is known that the work of waiters implies a reduction in night hours for sleep and rest, so they must adhere to a certain regime to restore their own strength, while eating properly and resting fairly. With such a labor activity, saturated with various fumes, overwork can quickly occur. It will only be possible to avoid this if the general rules of hygiene are observed and the labor week is properly formed. As for the remaining preventive measures, labor protection organizations should deal with them.
