John Abrahams, an American actor, was born in New York on October 29, 1977. He received his first film role unexpectedly, working as an assistant director on a second-rate set. There was no one to play episodic roles, and the young man was offered to play a character named Stephen in the film "Kids."
Carier start
Since then, John Abrahams "got sick" with cinema, began to act in all films and television productions, where only he managed to break through. Good appearance, charisma and zeal helped him to get roles.
One of the most successful characters played by the young actor was Sony in the dramatic film "Dead Man Comes" directed by Tim Robinson. The leading roles were made by Hollywood stars of the first magnitude: Susan Saradon and Sean Penn. The tragedy of the nun and the prisoner sentenced to death shocked the inexperienced John. After the release of the film, he finally decided to devote himself to cinema. And when the picture received several Oscars, the last doubts disappeared.
"The best kiss"
After a number of unobtrusive characters played between 1996 and 1999, John Abrahams starred in The Scary Movie, playing the role of Bobby, after which he gained some fame. For his character, the actor even won the rare MTV Channel Award after being nominated for Best Kiss.
In 2000, John Abrahams met on the set with movie masters such as Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro. He got the role of Denny Burns in the comedy "Meet the Parents". The character of the son of the protagonist demanded full commitment, since the role was one of the main ones in the scenario. The image was completely successful for John, he managed to find the balance thanks to which the film becomes successful.
Horror movie
This was followed by a film directed by Jaume Colet Serre, filmed in the horror genre. It was a classic horror movie called Wax House. The character of Dalton Chapman was created by the actor with frightening authenticity. He was helped by the partnership of stars such as Byron Van Holt, Chad Michael Murray, Elisha Cuthbert. The sharpness on the set was added by the shocking brawler, actress Paris Hilton.
John Abrahams, films with the participation of which began to be released one after another, was incredibly efficient and could be on the set for days. Three films - "Gardener of Eden", "Two Guys and a Dream", "Iron Man" - were shot, as they say, "in the same breath", thanks to John's constant readiness for filming.
Other projects
Among other things, the actor did not give up small roles in television series, for example, he successfully played in several seasons of "Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show", replacing actor Anthony Okungbov. But the big screen was more important for the actor, once he himself had to look for a replacement after John Abrahams left the KROO television project. Then he was replaced by actor Ted Stryker.
John Abrahams: personal life
As already mentioned, the actor spends all his time on the set. Intense creative work takes away the forces that need to be restored in a short time. Thus, there is no time or energy for personal life. A thirty-eight-year-old film actor is not married, and moreover, he does not plan to start a family.
Doubler in Bollywood
But his Indian counterpart, namesake John Abraham, is the exact opposite of the American. He was married and is currently dating actress Basu Bipasha. Their friendship has been going on for nearly twelve years.
Sometimes under the photos of the actor, posted in glossy magazines and various tabloids, they write "John Abrahams - Indian actor." This is a misinterpretation, as the true last name of the Indian movie star is John Abraham.
