Components for the test:
- thick kefir 3.2% - 1 full faceted glass ;
- baking soda without extinguishing - a dessert spoon;
- iodized salt - a small spoon;
- granulated sugar - 2 dessert spoons ;
- Refined vegetable oil - 2 large spoons;
- chicken large egg - 2 pcs.;
- sifted wheat flour - from 2 glasses (add until thick).
Kneading dough
The cabbage pie, the recipe of which involves a yeast-free basis, will turn out to be lush and soft only if you knead the kefir dough well. To do this, pour thick kefir into a metal container, slightly warm it, and then put out a small spoonful of table soda in it. After the fermented milk drink foams, sugar, iodized salt, refined vegetable oil, wheat flour and chicken eggs should be added to it. As a result of kneading all these components, you should get a tight dough that sticks well from your fingers. Next, the base must be placed in cling film and set aside for a while.
Also, pies with cabbage without yeast include the following products (for filling):
- refined sunflower oil - for frying pies and toppings;
- table salt, black allspice - add at your own discretion;
- white cabbage - 1 small head of cabbage;
- large fresh carrots - 1 pc.;
- onions, medium onions - 2 pcs.
The process of preparing vegetable fillings
Kefir pies with cabbage turn out to be especially tasty and aromatic, if you lightly fry the filling for such a dish. To do this, peel and finely chop all of the above vegetables, and then place them in a deep saucepan, season with oil, salt, pepper and add a little water. In this composition, products must first be stewed, and after the whole broth has evaporated and the components become soft, fry a little. Further, it is recommended to cool the filling slightly.
Shaping and frying dishes in a pan
The cabbage pie, the recipe of which we are considering, is formed very easily. To do this, you need to take a small piece of kefir base, roll a not very thick cake from it up to 8 centimeters in diameter, and then put in the middle 1.5 large tablespoons of the filling and beautifully connect the edges. After all the semi-finished products are prepared, they need to be laid out on a hot frying pan with oil and fry on 2 sides (for 6-7 minutes).
How to serve products to the table
It is recommended to serve pies with cabbage filling for dinner in a hot state with strong and sweet tea. Also, to such a hearty meal, you should additionally offer ketchup or thick sour cream.
