Andrey Skvortsov is a professional meteorologist, co-founder and director of the Mercator company, the host of weather news and the “Well Where We Are!” Tour program, a teacher at a business school, a record holder, a theater director and just a happy husband and father.
The beginning of the way
Andrey Skvortsov was born on October 17, 1972 in the city of Moscow. As a child, he dreamed of a lot. He achieved success in chemistry, physics, was engaged in guitar, gymnastics, boxing and much more. His parents only rejoiced that their child does not wander around the porches and does not bully.
Andrei thought that his life would be unusual, at first he would do one thing, then switch to something else, which would seem to him more interesting and promising.
In the tenth grade, Andrei met one man who turned out to be the husband of Zhanna Aguzarova and at the same time was an oceanologist. Andrei wanted to know what to do if he was interested in everything and couldn’t choose one thing at all. This person advised him in this case to enter the geographical faculty of Moscow State University. Andrei followed the advice and never regretted it: they really taught everything - from geology to ideology.
In 1994, he graduated from the Department of Meteorology at Moscow State University. He did not finish his education at this, becoming a graduate of other prestigious educational institutions such as Harvard Business School (2009), Moscow State University Business School.
Career
In 1994, he founded the Mercator company, which produces television infographics, software for news and weather forecasts, and much more.
In 2010, Andrei Skvortsov was offered to become the host of the weather forecast on the NTV channel, which an ardent fan of meteorology was very happy about. In 2013, he reached the finals of the New York Advertising Festival.
At the Moscow State University business school, the presenter Andrei Skvortsov is a teacher.
He has created more than one hundred different presentations for large companies of the Russian Federation.
In 2014, a new show appeared on the NTV channel called "Well, where we are!" It specialized in showing people unexpected, but accessible routes for everyone. The lead in this television project was Andrew.
Data
Weather presenter Andrei Skvortsov managed to conduct more than 300 live broadcasts of Extreme Weather on NTV, where he had to jump with a parachute, fall through the ice, be in the center of a thunderstorm, and experience a lightning strike.
Andrei created a cartoon, which he called "The Stanislavsky System for Orator", which collected more than a million views on the Internet.
He is the champion of Russia in parachuting. And not just a record holder, but four times!
He really enjoys playing in an amateur theater.
Andrei believes that one of the main factors in normal work should be trust. If, for example, a bank orders advertising from him and partners trust each other, then everything will be fine, work will be completed in a week. If the bank does not trust, then it announces a tender, a bunch of unnecessary problems begins, and as a result, the advertisement will be prepared for more than six months, and the cost of it will go 5 times more. So without trust, Andrey Skvortsov will not work with banks.
Andrey about himself
In an interview, he admitted that his morning begins with a stack of vodka. But then he added that this was just a joke.
Andrey tries to spend all the way to work in silence in order to prepare for performances, but sometimes he allows himself to listen to some interesting lecture.
He has practically no free time. If it appears, Andrey tries to spend it with his family.
For relaxation, he likes to read the works of Akunin, Gogol, O. Henry.
Very proud of his wife and beloved daughter.
Andrew's motto: "The main thing is to want!"
