Winx Club: Sorceress School - an animated series by Italian director Iginio Straffi, Raibow SPA By 2017, seven seasons have already been shot. Despite conflicting reviews, the animated series quickly became a cult and was released on screens in more than one hundred and fifty countries and attracted nearly fifteen million viewers daily; more than twenty-two million copies of the DVD were sold.
Plot
An ordinary earthly sixteen-year-old girl named Bloom learns that she is a fairy and goes to study at the Alphaeus Academy of Magic. There she finds loyal friends, love and enemies. The main anti-heroes of the first season - the three witches of Trix from the Cloud Tower - are constantly trying to come up with a new way to seize power over the magical world of Magix, but each time they are defeated by fairies and teachers of three schools of magic.
In the original animated series "Winx Club: School of Sorceresses" actors Karen Manuel, Leah Adams, Christina Rodriguez, Dani Shaffel voiced the roles of heroes.
Good heroes
Teachers Alfey help in the fight against evil, but the main characters, of course, in all seasons of the animated series "Winx Club: School of Sorceresses" are fairies:

- Stella is a fairy of the moon, sun and stars, she is a true connoisseur of romantic stories.
- Hot-tempered Leila controls the waves, sometimes uses morfix - a sticky pink substance.
- The muse with the help of sound waves is able to stun the enemy, this is helped by her flute and huge speakers.
- The strongest of the fairies is Bloom, she is subject to the magic of the fire dragon, but she can only use it when she is in a state of intense emotional stress. The arsenal of her spells has everything connected with fire - volcanoes, red-hot lava and magma.
Negative Heroes
In all the episodes of the animated series Winx Club: Sorceress School, Bloom and her friends have to fight a new opponent:
- in the first season, these are the witches of Trix;
- in the second - the embodiment of the dark Phoenix Drakar;
- in the third, Valtor;
- in the fourth, the magicians of the Black Circle who captured the fairies of the earth;
- in the fifth - Titannus, prince of the underwater world;
- in the sixth, the witch Selina, trying to summon otherworldly forces in the person of Acheron;
- in the seventh, Kalshara and Brafilius, claiming the power of magic animals.
History of creation and popularity
The idea of creating a cartoon about girls who own magic came to the director back in 2000, when the release of the incredibly popular anime Sailor Moon was completed. In his brainchild, Iginio Straffi combined the elements of their world with the world of Harry Potter. Barbie doll and the faces of popular actors in the animated series "Winx Club: School of Sorceresses" served as prototypes for creating fairies. Real fashion designers, including Dolce & Gabanna, had a hand in creating outfits.
The first broadcast began on January 28, 2008 after a lengthy advertising campaign. The popularity rating was 16%, while the age of half the audience ranged from 4 to 14 years. And in April of the same year, the animated series was shown in Europe, Thailand, the USA and Indonesia in prime there at 21:30.
This project was so successful that the creators released dozens of theater and concert productions, several branches of the original story, including two spin-offs and three full-length cartoons. Of course, many different products with the symbols of fairies are sold all over the world - video games, backpacks, pencil cases, clothes, notebooks. Winx dolls occupy 40% of the entire market, second only to Barbie and Bratz. The characters have been used more than once for promotions related to health, tourism and education.
In 2016, information appeared that work had begun on creating a real film with live actors on the animated series Winx Club: School of Witches. Like the original story, it will be based on the principles of fidelity, friendship, love and kindness.
Among the printed stories of the Winx world are books, magazines, and comics. They not only contain information about the magical world, but also tell stories that are not included in the animated series.
Criticism
The most severe criticism fell on the part of Russia, especially for voice acting, the disproportionality of the bodies of the main characters and plagiarism of Harry Potter and the Enchantress. The latter has no basis, since the Winx appeared a year earlier than the Enchanters, although the Russian audience saw them three years later. In the animated series “Winx Club: School of Enchantresses”, the actors Yana Belonovskaya, Ekaterina Semenova, Iva Solonitsyna and Denis Bespaly voiced the roles for the Russian-speaking audience.
And in the United States, they changed the script and music without missing the original version. In other countries, there was very little criticism.
Cosplay
