The horror genre has a special charm and popularity. Well, what else can public nerves tickle like a regular monster or a
serial maniac. But a very sad trend is emerging. Either the scriptwriters and the directors got the fantasy into the sewers, and they are actively looking for it there, or the people have now become less fearful, and the horrors are becoming more and more boring, monotonous, and at times funny. So, a list of the worst horror movies of all time.
First about monsters
There are a number of films that portray very scary monsters. Here is a sample list of the scariest horror movies about monsters. All films about Aliens, Predators, Jeepers Creepers, Tsunamis, Piranhas, Apollo 18, Prometheus, and many other worthy paintings make you sometimes shudder even after watching. They are terrible not only because of the abundance of blood and the cries of people eaten by monsters, but also due to some inventiveness and experience of directors. And the actors play pretty well.
Although, in fairness it’s worth saying that when a horror movie turns into a multi-part “Santa Barbara” (it’s also rumored to be returned. Oh, horror!), Only the most devoted fans remain, and not for the sake of the next batch of adrenaline and tightly compressed buttocks, and out of pure curiosity and love for the actors. I repent, and I myself am sinful by this. I looked at the Black Hole with Vin Diesel, then I watched the Chronicles of Riddick, and now I see Riddick himself. If we compare the first and third parts of this saga, they differ by the very minimum - the presence of a dog beloved by all the killers and instead of the Jones mercenary was his father Jones the elder. And so - one to one: they arrived on the planet, there were monsters, something grandiose happened with the weather, because of which all the monsters climbed out, and people had to be saved whoever was what. In a word, there was some heavy impression of “deja vu”, but there was no fear at all.
Horror about demons, paranormal and otherghostly eat
My first horrors on this subject were Poltergeist and Demons, both of which were filmed before I was born, sometime in 1986, but even now, when reviewing, I’m terrified of horror. With minimal special effects, but with an amazing cast of actors, these horror films quite rightly occupy a significant niche in the horror industry.
But let's move directly to this industry. Here is an example list of the scariest horror stories about ghosts, demons and, in general, about everything paranormal: "Paranormal phenomenon" (all parts), "Take me to hell", "1408", "Astral", "The Spell", "Mom", Grave Seekers and many other similar films.
If the film was shot efficiently, then the viewer will then twitch after watching from any knock-grunt-creak. As a matter of fact, the creators of the "Paranormal Phenomenon" proved it with interest. Not bothering with the budget, plot and scenery, they nevertheless made a number of films that were a stunning success.
List of the scariest zombie horror movies
You won’t run much here. All the more or less scary horror films about zombies can be counted on the fingers. These are the first two parts of Resident Evil, Dawn of the Dead, The Walking Dead, War of the Worlds Z. The last picture, by the way, was released this year and is quite watchable, despite the fact that cute Brad Pitt starred there. In addition, new elements were introduced into the film (I think no one has mentioned a pyramid of distraught zombies and a vaccine based on diseases).
Horror is the scariest. Maniacs List
There are several more films here. This and the "Collector" (creepy, scary and just disgusting), and "Saw" (at least a few first parts), and "Halloween", "Nightmare on Elm Street", "Friday 13", "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and a lot others.
All of them are quite scary, but at times I just want to say to the actors: "Guys, what do you have with your feet ?!" A maniac chases after the characters, and they fall out of the blue and crawl on. Yes, and the maniacs themselves, although scary, but also some kind of strange. They cannot keep up with crawling victims, but they can overtake trucks and sports cars. Plus, no matter how much you shoot at them, they don’t die. It is a fact. This is especially true of the latest "Chainsaw Massacre", which was released earlier this year.
Horror is the scariest. List 2013
The 2013th year did not particularly please us with novelties in horrors. Nevertheless, they are available this year. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Mom, Ghosts in Connecticut 2, Astral 2, War of the Worlds Z, Riddick, Spell, Evil Dead and Testament. The rest is either not at all scary, or at times resembles a comedy with a black tint.
