The ointment contains naphthalan oil, which, when interacting with the skin, has a disinfectant, analgesic, emollient and absorbable effect. In addition, Wilkinson's ointment contains calcium carbonate, green soap, petroleum jelly and purified water. In appearance, the medicine is a homogeneous mass having a dark brown color and a tar smell.
Indications for use
The medication is prescribed for the treatment of scabies, eczema, bedsores, trophic ulcers and wounds. In combination with other drugs, the product effectively copes with dermatomycosis, as well as skin lesions of fungal or parasitic origin.
Contraindications
The ointment is forbidden to use in case of exacerbation of eczema, with chronic kidney failure, as well as with hypersensitivity.

The dosage form of the medication involves external use. The medicine is applied twice a day to the affected skin. The duration of therapy is at least 10 days. With various pathologies, the duration of treatment may vary. With trichophytosis, Wilkinson's ointment is recommended to be applied within a three-week period. With scabies, the medicine is rubbed into the skin throughout the body (except for the scalp and face) for three days.
