Sergey Romodanov played Egor Kuzmich Lutonin. This is a Soviet film and theater actor. He was born in 1899 in the city of Livny, in the family of provincial actors. He was trained in the art workshop of the director Arzamasov, located in Baku. He played on the stage of the PUR Drama Theater in Khiva. When Pyryev decided to shoot the Trial of Fidelity tape, it was supposed to be the ninth, where his wife Marina was involved. But suddenly an order came out from the chairman of Goskino, who forbade directors to film their wives. Then Pyryev collected photo tests from other applicants for the role and brought them to Goskino. He asked if it was true that at least one of these actresses might look better than Ladynina. As a result, the director defended his wife.
