Many people like prunes - this is a very tasty and healthy product. Its piquant-fruity taste is in harmony with many types of products. Therefore, it is widely used as an additive to salads, especially holiday ones. We bring to your attention unusual salads with prunes.
Gourmet Birch Salad with Prunes
Boil half a kilogram of pork or chicken pulp with salt, black pepper (peas) and bay leaf. After the meat has cooled, it should be cut into neat thin strips.
Cut a half kilogram of mushrooms (champignons or oyster mushrooms) into strips and fry in a very small amount of oil so that it is not too greasy. Lightly salt the mushrooms.
A pair of medium-sized onions cut into half rings. In a separate bowl, pour the onion with vinegar (you will need one glass). After a while, drain the vinegar and rinse the onion with cold water.
Hard boiled 5 eggs grate on a coarse grater.
One or two fresh cucumbers (it all depends on their size) need to be cut into thin halves of circles.
Prepare the prunes. According to the recipe Salad "Birch" with prunes should be done as follows: wash it (you need a few pieces) and cut with neat strips that you will use to decorate the salad.
Make mayonnaise and a beautiful dish.
Proceed with the assembly. Salad "Birch" with prunes refers to puff salads, therefore, accuracy is important here. Do not forget to coat each separate layer with mayonnaise:
- apply a little mayonnaise to the bottom of the dish and lay a layer of mushrooms;
- the next layer is meat straws;
- pickled onion;
- sprinkle eggs;
- a layer of cucumbers, but not much - cucumbers let out juice and can ruin the dish.
After covering the last layer with mayonnaise, wipe the edge of the dish with a paper towel and lay out the strips of prunes, simulating the birch bark.
You can vary the order of the layers to your liking. You can not lay onions, and after meat make a layer of cucumbers. Eggs can be placed last.
Pomegranate Bracelet Salad with Prunes
In preparation, it is very light and unusually juicy in taste - this salad will decorate any of your holiday.
Boil half the chicken in salted water (about half a kilogram). At the same time, put the carrot, half the onion and a bay leaf in the pan. Cool the meat without removing it from the pan.
Simultaneously boil separately for half a kilogram of potatoes (in their skins), carrots and beets. When cool, peel and grate.
Sauté finely chopped onion (1 pc.)
Slice the chicken meat and also fry in vegetable oil.
Combine onion and chicken. Mix everything.
Now the decoration of the dish :
- take a grated potato with a spoon, take it and put it on a beautiful dish in the form of a bead. Make the same beads around the perimeter of the dish. The salad should resemble a bracelet in shape. Grease each bead with mayonnaise;
- a layer of carrots and mayonnaise;
- a layer of chicken with onions, smeared with mayonnaise;
- boiled beets with mayonnaise;
- decorate the beads with pomegranate seeds.
This salad can be decorated in the form of a ring - for this, put a glass in the center, which you will remove after finishing decoration.
Tenderness Salad with Prunes
Another option is puff salad. The sequence of layers that should not be tightly packed to make the salad lush:
- boiled chicken (150 g), sorted into threads, plus mayonnaise;
- prune sliced into slices (200 g);
- finely chopped walnut kernels (60 g) and mayonnaise;
- grated eggs (6pcs) and slices of fresh cucumbers (a couple of pieces), grease with mayonnaise;
- You can decorate the salad with walnut kernels, sprigs of greens and pomegranate seeds.
“Tenderness”, “Pomegranate bracelet” and “Birch” salad with prunes will adequately decorate your holiday table and, possibly, will become traditional and favorite dishes in your family.
