Visceral fat: how to get rid of excess

Scientists say that a certain mass of fat is necessary for a person. He is involved in the regulation of body temperature, protects our joints. But excess fat mass can lead to the development of many serious diseases, from stroke to cancer. In the human body there are three types of body fat with a different level of metabolism:

  • subcutaneous fat;

  • fat, which is determined by gender. In women, it is 12% (fat in the chest, buttocks, hips), in men (necessary fat) - 3%;

  • visceral or internal fat.

The fat that accumulates under the skin, of course, causes some inconvenience, spoils the mood, but subcutaneous fat is most likely an aesthetic problem, it does not lead to loss of health.

A threat to health is another type of fat - visceral. It accumulates in the abdominal region: around internal organs, in large vessels. Enveloping internal organs, it changes their work, affects metabolic processes. Internal fat can penetrate muscle tissue, and sometimes even into internal organs, and often in the heart.

Visceral fat is invisible, it is dangerous because it negatively affects the hormonal background: in men it reduces the level of testosterone, and in women it increases the level of prolactin. Unlike subcutaneous fat, it periodically releases fatty acids into the bloodstream, which leads to the formation of cholesterol plaques, one of the causes of hypertension. Therefore, this fat is much more dangerous than subcutaneous. In addition, visceral fat is not always visible, you can have normal weight, but you may have more visceral fat than you think. It produces metabolic substances and about 30 hormones that negatively affect the walls of the arteries of the brain and heart, damaging them. And this provokes strokes, heart attacks and cancers. It is known that men have more visceral fat due to the action of sex hormones. Fat deposits of men are most often concentrated in the abdomen, while in women the main problem areas are the sides, buttocks, and thighs. After 40 years, when the estrogen level in a woman decreases, fat passes into the abdomen.

Scientists believe that the risk factor in women, regardless of age, height, and body shape, is a waist volume of more than 80 cm, and for men - more than 94 cm. If your volumes exceed these figures, you should pay attention to your health. Improper nutrition, excess calories, genetics, lifestyle, age - all this plays a role in the accumulation of visceral fat.

Thinking about how to get rid of visceral fat, people believe that it is much more difficult to do this than to get rid of subcutaneous, but this is not so. When you lose weight, this type of fat is the first to go. If you are concerned about a problem called "visceral fat", how to remove it, then the first step to this will be a balanced diet and physical activity.

It's simple: in order for visceral fat to disappear, you need exercise and proper, healthy nutrition. Fat in general is unspent calories. When a person consumes more calories than he consumes. These calories, which turned out to be superfluous, are deposited in the form of fat in your body. In order for this fat to disappear, you need to consume less or as much calories as you spend. Do calorie counts, eat the right healthy foods, give your body physical activity, and you will defeat visceral fat.

The greatest benefit in getting rid of visceral fat will bring aerobic exercise classes. Green tea combined with exercise helps burn calories and get rid of internal fat. Blueberries have the same property.

As you can see, the secret to getting rid of visceral fat is simple: move more and eat less.
