Unfortunately, a child’s body is much more susceptible to
infectious diseases than an adult. Especially often newborns suffer from infections, for example, a phenomenon such as
staphylococcus in a child is quite common. At the same time, this microbe itself can be a consequence of various diseases, it is not for nothing that a lot of disputes and perplexities go around among parents about it. In general, it is customary to refer to cocci microbes absolutely any microbes that look under the microscope as oval or round, since the word from which the name of the infection came from is “coccus”, which means “grain”. In principle, every person experiences
staph infections once in a lifetime
, and the diseases associated with them can be completely different. However, most microbes of this type have a fairly stable resistance to antibiotics, which makes the phenomenon of staphylococcus in a child even more dangerous.
In total, in this group there are three types of microbes, each of which is divided into several strains that cause various diseases. In principle, the groups of ailments that they cause are completely identical, but they can manifest themselves in completely different ways. An important source is where the child received staphylococcus. The reasons most often lie in contact with sick people, as well as with carriers of strains that may not even be aware of their infection. The so-called passage for the bacteria can be open wounds and any mucous membranes, as well as absolutely any damage. Speaking about the reasons why staphylococcus is most often manifested in a child, immunity weakened due to age should be noted, therefore, most often
infectious diseases of this series affect babies up to six months of age.
Speaking about the classic symptoms of the presence of bacteria in the blood, you should pay attention primarily to the presence of pustular lesions of the skin, follicles, boils and other skin inflammations that appear in the area of the hips, neck and buttocks. Especially dangerous is the presence of such signs on the face of a child, since there is a danger of infection entering the area of brain tissue. Much less commonly, so-called staphylococcal pneumonia can occur , while it is characterized by the most severe form and resistant reaction to antibiotics.

The most difficult case that can cause staphylococcus in a child is the so-called sepsis, which is characterized by high mortality rates. This is the most neglected variant of the development of the disease, characterized by a total lesion of all organs due to the high concentration of the microbe in the blood. Unfortunately, even hospitalization and the course of the strongest antibiotics will not help against this type of staphylococcus, since many processes that occur due to this infection in the child’s body are practically irreversible.
