Many, even adults , are afraid of injections. In fact, one should not be afraid of this unpleasant procedure, but of its consequences, because even after a single injection, such a nuisance as a bump from an injection can occur. The likelihood of this complication from the ongoing procedures is even more if a long-term course of drug administration is required intramuscularly.
Why are cones formed from injections and can this be avoided? In order for the injection to go without consequences, you need to use high-quality syringes with a fairly long needle. Some patients find that using a short needle makes drug administration less painful. In fact, when using an insufficiently long needle, the drug does not enter the thickness of the muscle, but the subcutaneous fat layer, which not only leads to the formation of bumps, but also reduces the effectiveness of the treatment.
Another condition that reduces the risk of cone formation is a smooth and gradual administration of the drug. Only in this case will it be distributed evenly. An injection must be done in a relaxed muscle, which is why health workers always ask the patient to lie down before the procedure.
But what if the bumps from the injections have already formed? Of course, you need to deal with this phenomenon, especially since it brings a lot of discomfort.
Before telling how to deal with the consequences of injections, I want to warn that if a large seal has formed on the injection site and it is hot to the touch and very painful, you should not rely on folk methods, you need to go to the surgeon to prevent the development of an abscess.
In other cases, when the cones from the injections are not too large, you can try to cope with the help of "grandmother" recipes. In folk medicine, there are many methods that allow you to remove swelling from a sore spot and reduce soreness.
If you have cones from injections, treatment should not be put off the shelf. One of the most effective and, at the same time, simple methods of treatment is the application of iodine mesh. To make it very simple, dip a cotton swab into the pharmacy tincture of iodine and draw a frequent mesh over the edematous area of ββthe skin.
It relieves inflammation with a compress from a white cabbage leaf. To do this, a cleanly washed sheet must be attached to a sore spot with a patch and left for several hours. You can also use pickled cucumber. To do this, cut a piece of cucumber to the size of the cone and attach it to the sore spot.
Can be used for compresses and raw potatoes. To do this, grate the potatoes, wrap the resulting gruel in gauze and apply to the place of hardening.
It also removes cones from injections and tincture of propolis. Lubricate the sore spot with petroleum jelly or any greasy cream. And on top we put a piece of bandage, folded several times and moistened with propolis tincture. We close on top with a cellophane film and fix with a plaster. You need to hold such a compress for at least 4-6 hours.
You can also apply honey cakes to sore spots. Mix a spoonful of butter and honey, add the yolk and flour to this mass. You need to take so much flour to make a soft dough. We pluck off the pieces from the resulting dough and attach the cakes to the seals. On top of such a cake is better to cover with cellophane.
If you do not really trust folk methods of treatment, then you can use pharmacy tools. For example, make a compress with dimexide. We dilute dimexide with vodka in a ratio of four to one and wet a piece of a bandage folded several times in the resulting solution. We lubricate the sore spot with petroleum jelly, then we apply the prepared lotion, close the bandage with cellophane and fix everything with a patch. Such a compress can be done at night.
In addition, ointments with heparin or troxerutin can be used to treat cones formed at the injection site.
