Despite the fact that a rather large number of anime series have already been released, the characters of Dragonball were liked by viewers around the world: the main characters are kind, naive, often joking, which makes them look like ordinary people.
Song Goku
Familiarity with the characters of "Dragonball" should begin with the main character of the series - Son Goku. In the first season, he is a boy of 12 years old, with a monkey tail and an unusual stick, which can grow to incredible sizes. Song Goku is the strongest character of Dragonball. His incredible strength is due to the fact that he is a representative of the Sayan race. Later it turns out that Song Goku is also the most powerful warrior in the universe - Super-Sayajin.
Song Goku throughout the anime learns martial arts to become stronger. But while most Dragonball characters wanted this out of ambition and a desire to seize power, it was important for Goku to protect people. He also liked to fight with a strong opponent, and he respected the brave and kind people.
Son Goku was kind and naive, always trying to see the good in people. Because of this, often got into difficult situations. But thanks to his strength, perseverance and strong spirit, he always defeated even very strong opponents. Son Goku, becoming an adult, retained his childhood immediacy, faith in people and good.
Turtle hermit
The hermit turtle, or Mouten Roshi, is also one of Dragonball's main characters. He is known as a martial artist and one of the strongest warriors. The turtle hermit did not seek to take disciples, but when he saw the gifted Son Goku and Kurilin, he decided to train them. Muten Roshi became a mentor for Son Goku and Kurilin. The turtle hermit is optimistic (despite his age) and has a weakness for beautiful and young girls.
Kurilin
Kurilin is also a Dragonball character and Son Goku's best friend. Although at the very beginning they competed a lot, they gradually gained respect for each other. For Kurilin, Son Goku was always the ideal of a strong and courageous fighter, so he continued to train hard to become even stronger.
Kurilin is in many ways similar in character to Mouten Roshi. He is equally optimistic, likes to joke, he likes beautiful and young girls. But, unlike his mentor, Kurilin is embarrassed at communicating with them. Kurilin is a brave fighter: in order to protect loved ones, he is ready to fight to the end, just like Goku.
Yamcha
Yamcha is one of the characters of Dragonball, which appears in the first part of the manga. At the very beginning, he did not immediately make friends with Song Goku and his company. Yamcha was a robber and lived in the desert. I wanted to find dragon pearls to communicate with the girls, because at the sight of them he fell into a stupor. Yamcha gradually gets closer to Bulma, and a relationship develops between them.
Yamcha also begins to admire Song Goku and the fact that he wants to become stronger in order to protect people. Now his main goal is to become better in martial arts, and he begins to train hard. She and Bulma remain good friends, and Yamcha managed to overcome his fear of talking with girls.
Bulma
Mostly in Dragonball, the characters are guys. Bulma is one of the few female characters, moreover, one of the central ones. She is not a simple girl. Although Bulma is not strong in martial arts, her strength is in intelligence. Her father is a famous scientist, and her daughter has the ability to invent new technologies.
Bulma invented rockets and was practically the only one who could handle even the latest technologies with complete peace of mind. It was she who created the radar in order to look for dragon pearls.
Bulma is an emotional girl, confident in her beauty. At the same time, she is vulnerable and always worries about her loved ones. Bulma was the first of all to meet Son Goku, for her he is like a younger brother. Her main goal was to find a handsome guy. At first, the girl met with Yamcha, but they broke up as good friends. Bulma became the wife of Vegeta, another Sayajin.
Tenshinhan
When Tenshinhan appeared in the manga, he was an antagonist and represented the school of the Hermit Crane. He was arrogant and cruel, considered Tao Pai-Pai (whom Song Goku defeated) to be his ideal gunman. Because of his cruelty, Yamcha was in the hospital. Son Goku promised Yamche that he would defeat Tenshinhan.
But after talking with Muten Roshi and Son Goku, Tenshin Khan changes his views. He is a strong fighter, his distinguishing feature is the presence of a third eye, which appeared in him as a result of meditation. Tenshinhan joins Song Goku to protect people.
Piccolo
One of the main negative characters. He is the son of Piccolo Daimao. A very strong fighter with magical powers. In Dragonball, Piccolo's character is the opposite of Song Goku. He is always serious and practically does not smile.
Piccolo is imbued with respect for Son Goku, and after the Tenkaichi Tournament, when Goku spared him, he begins to train hard to defeat him. When Goku trained with Kayo-sama, he took care of his son, Gohan. Despite his initially dismissive attitude towards the boy, Piccolo becomes attached to him, and he considers him his teacher.
Kami-sama
Kami-sama helps Son Goku in preparation for the duel with Piccolo. He is a hint, and his home planet is a hint. Shown as a wise and powerful mentor. Son Goku was able to see him, proving that he was worthy to undergo training with Kami-sama.
His assistant is Mr. Popo, who guards Kami and takes care of him. Kami and Piccolo are half of one Hint, so if you destroy one, the other will die. Kami-sama is one of the Earth Keepers.
Vegeta
This character is the prince of the Sayan race, one of the most powerful warriors in the universe (like Song Goku). Then he will become the husband of Bulma. Throughout Dragon Ball Z, the character of Vegeta was constantly changing, as well as some details of his appearance (for example, growth). At first, his main goal was to destroy planet Earth and Song Goku. But in a fierce battle, Goku defeated him, and Vegeta was forced to leave Earth.
The Sayan prince was in the service of Frieza, one of the main antagonists in the Dragonball, but dreamed of avenging the destruction of his race. During the battle with Frieze, it unites with the defenders of the Earth and then returns to Earth with it. Vegeta respects Song Goku, and despite constant rivalry, they can be considered their friends.
Gohan
Son Son Goku and Chi-Chi is half Sayan, half human. At the very beginning it is shown as a spoiled boy who does not know how to do anything on his own. But for his young age, Gohan was very smart. All this was due to the influence of his mother, Chi-Chi, who believed that only by being educated can one achieve success in life.
But gradually Gohan is becoming stronger, he has a determination and perseverance. This is largely due to the education of Piccolo. Gohan, unlike Song Goku, did not like battles and always strove for a peaceful and calm life. As the son of Super Sayan, he could also transform into such a form. But due to insecurity and a peaceful nature, he mastered the skill later than his brother Gothen.
Kayo-sama
He is also called Northern Cayo due to the fact that he is responsible for the Northern Galaxy. He taught martial arts first to Son Goku, and then to other Zeta Warriors. At the beginning of the acquaintance, it seems strange because of his unusual manner of teaching and his love of jokes. Kayo-sama loves those who have a sense of humor, and loves to joke, but not all of his jokes are understood by others.
He taught Son Goku the Kayoken technique, which is one of the most powerful. Also could telepathically communicate with him. Despite the apparent frivolity, at important points it becomes serious and gives useful advice.
