Inga Budkevich is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actress. In the sixties of the last century, she was incredibly in demand in the cinema. The actress has more than seventy roles, starting with the episode in Carnival Night and ending with her last work in 2004.
Childhood
Inga Budkevich is a native Muscovite. She was born in 1936. The father of the actress, Nikolai Budkevich, was a soldier. From childhood, Inga dreamed of performing on stage. She knew for sure that after school she would go to a theater university.
War
During the Great Patriotic War, the family of Inga Budkevich was evacuated to Baku. Here the girl went to first grade. The actress recalled the war years as a hungry and dashing time. The only outlet for little Inga was cinema. The film "Volga-Volga" she watched an infinite number of times. Especially the girl liked the heroine of Lyubov Orlova - Strelka. When Inga found out that the actress and her husband were staying in a city hotel, she was on duty at the gates for days in the hope of meeting an idol. The girl managed to see Orlov. Moreover, the star treated Ingu with sweets. Many years later, actress Inga Budkevich met with Orlova on the same set.
VGIK
After school, Inga Budkevich decided to enter the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography. The girl did not know with what passage she appeared on the exams. Seeing a huge crowd near the walls of the institute, she got scared and went to the school at the Maly Theater. In the corridor of the theater, she met her future classmates - Olga Bgan and Mikaela Drozdovskaya. The girls together picked up the necessary repertoire, with which everyone returned to VGIK. Inga was enrolled in the course of Mikhail Romm and Vladimir Belokurov. Ariadna Shengelaya, Alexander Mitta, Andrey Tarkovsky, Vasily Shukshin studied with Budkevich.
After study
Inga Budkevich began acting in films during training. The student managed to star in four films:
- Eldar Ryazanov’s comedy “Carnival Night”;
- the drama of Vasily Ordynsky "Four";
- youth film novel of Felix Mironer "Youth Street";
- Maxim Roof's comedy "Quarrel in Lukashi".
After VGIK, the young actress was offered a job at Belarusfilm. Inga refused to move to Minsk. For some time, there was practically no work. Only in 1967, director Sergei Gerasimov drew attention to Budkevich. The actress starred in an episode of his film "Journalist." Inga was so impressed by the master that a week later she was enrolled in the staff of the Gorky Film Studio.
Career
In the seventies, the actress starred a lot. Photos of Inga Budkevich could be seen on numerous posters and in popular Soviet magazines. The most striking roles of the actress:

- American journalist in the detective Vladimir Savelyeva "Profitable contract."
- Director of the store in the comedy melodrama of Yuri Yegorov "Once, twenty years later."
- Lykov's employee in the detective Alexander Blanca "Profession - Investigator".
- Hazel Conway in Vladimir Basov’s family drama Time and the Conway Family.
- Lozovanova in the revolutionary film of Yuri Mastyugin "Come Free."
- Alla in Victor Volkov’s musical picture “Dancing on the Roof”.
- Zina in the adventure movie "The Head of the Gorgon."
In the 90s, Budkevich did not remain without work. She continued to actively act in films. By the early 2000s, the actress was invited only for episodic roles.
First husband
In the third year of VGIK, the actress began an affair with Eduard Izotov. He studied in the same group as Budkevich. He was a tall handsome young man with a dazzling smile and a stunning voice. All students dreamed of an affair with a handsome man. Inga was also fascinated by the guy. Gradually, their friendship grew into love, which was entrenched in a marriage in June 1956. Young lived with the parents of his wife. In 1960, the couple had a daughter Veronica. The mother-in-law of the actress was categorically against this union. She literally hated her daughter-in-law, looking for her son a more suitable party. The marriage fell apart.

In 1980, Inga Budkevich and Eduard Izotov officially divorced, although they left much earlier. Former spouses maintained a good relationship. Budkevich worried about Izotov. When the actor went to prison, she did everything possible to alleviate his fate. It was at this time that Inga and Edward had a granddaughter, Dean. After prison, Izotov began to have serious health problems. He suffered several strokes, began to lose his memory. Until his very last days Budkevich visited her ex-husband in the hospital.
Second husband
At forty-three, the personal life of Inga Budkevich changed dramatically. The director Gorky came to work as a director Yuri Mastyugin. The actress fell in love with him at first sight. For two years the couple met secretly. Then Yuri insisted on marriage. Budkevich is still grateful to fate that she gave her a second spouse. The actress admits that before meeting with Yuri, she did not know anything about true love. Mastyugin surrounded with care not only Inga, but also her daughter. Veronica followed in the footsteps of her parents, becoming an actress in theater and cinema. She began acting in childhood. Now her filmography has more than fifty works.
