The plot of the picture
All events revolve around a talented young ballerina - Nina. She is one of the best in the theater, any dancer can envy her technique. But this is bad luck - the main choreographer claims that this is not the main thing in ballet. He demonstrates to Nina in every possible way - in order to become a real prima, one must not only possess the technique, but also be able to let go of oneself, to give free rein to feelings and emotions. At stake is the main double role in the ballet Swan Lake - Odette and Odile, which should be performed by one dancer.
Believing that Nina could nevertheless give vent to her feelings in dance, Toma - the choreographer - gives her the role. But the newly made prima has a dangerous rival - Lily, who, hiding behind her friendship with her, is eager to get her role. The result is that not in ballet, but in Nina’s life is white, and Lily is a black swan. The actors who played these roles are Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis.
Two swans - two rivals
The role of ballet prima went to the famous actress Natalie Portman. Despite her very mature age, she brilliantly coped with the role of a very young girl who lives with her mother and only recently entered the service of the theater. Like all the actors in the movie "Black Swan", Portman appears before us in the form of a typical ballerina. She is restrained and well-mannered, educated and shy, and most importantly - disciplined, always ready to work.
Lily is her exact opposite. Of course, this girl is also a dancer, but she does not seek to perform every movement correctly and perfectly. She succumbs to her emotions, makes everything easy, not afraid to make a mistake. We also learn that addiction to alcohol and drugs is another negative trait that the “black swan” has. The actors who auditioned for this role faded against the backdrop of the spectacular Mila Kunis. It was in her, according to the director, that there were all the necessary character traits for the performance of this character.
