Panthenol wound healing preparation - ointment, spray, cream

The main active ingredient of "Panthenol" or "D-Panthenol" is dexpanthenol - a derivative of one of the B vitamins, pantothenic acid. It has a powerful stimulating effect: the regeneration of skin cells during its use occurs several times faster. Normally, pantothenic acid is contained in sufficient quantities in the human body, however, with damage to the skin, there is an increased need for this substance. Using "Panthenol", ointment or other dosage form, we deliver dexpanthenol to the site of injury - healing, therefore, is much more intense. It is absorbed very quickly into the skin and enters the bloodstream.

The drug "Panthenol" also has a weak anti-inflammatory effect. Its use is indicated for violations of the skin of any nature: abrasions, scratches, various wounds (except weeping!), Including postoperative ones, as well as with bedsores. Pantenol, ointment or any other dosage form of the drug, helps with burns: thermal, chemical, solar. With this tool, you can treat almost any inflammation on the skin, as well as boils, dermatitis, eczema. According to the reviews available on the Internet, its use brings a noticeable positive effect in case of acne. Panthenol is also successfully used as part of complex therapy for skin transplantation.

Pantenol ointment, the instructions for which contain all the recommendations for its use, heals trophic ulcers well, which other drugs cannot cope with. Finally, Panthenol, an ointment or cream, is simply indispensable for infants and young mothers: it helps fight diaper rash and diaper dermatitis. The drug perfectly heals cracks in the nipples , thus allowing to maintain breastfeeding. The nipple must be lubricated with ointment after each application of the baby to the chest. Before the next feeding, carefully remove the remaining product with a paper towel and wash the breast with warm water and soap. Panthenol is applied to small children with a thin layer on the diaper rash or under the diaper after each change.

Ointment with dexpanthenol can also be recommended for cosmetic use: it helps protect dry skin from wind and cold and cope with the adverse effects of natural factors. Apply ointment or cream, on average, up to four times a day, in a thin layer. If panthenol is used to treat an infected surface, it must first be treated with an antiseptic. When using the product in the form of an aerosol, the balloon is held vertically, with the valve up, and shaken before use. Spray the spray onto the affected surface from a distance of 15–20 cm - so that it is completely covered with the medicine (if it gets on the skin, it foams).

The product "Panthenol" - ointment, aerosol or cream - is practically harmless. In rare cases, there are allergic reactions caused by individual intolerance to dexpanthenol or auxiliary components of the drug. In general, Pantenol, an ointment for burns and wounds, cream or spray, is a completely harmless product that can be used by both children and the elderly. Cases of its overdose are unknown, and the toxic effect does not occur even with the accidental administration of panthenol inside. It can be bought at a pharmacy without a prescription.

Panthenol should be stored in any dosage form for no longer than two years at a temperature not exceeding +25 degrees. After heating the drug to +50 degrees and above, it loses its properties. The therapeutic effect of panthenol is noticeable literally in the first hours after its use, and in mild cases, only a few days are enough for the complete healing of the injured surface.
