The harm of drugs. The effect of drugs on the human body

Euphoria, unprecedented vivacity, original thoughts, strength and energy - all these can be given to a person by certain drugs. However, the euphoria will pass quickly, vigor will turn into severe fatigue, and strength and energy will become lethargy and apathy. How do drugs affect the human body? In what cases is it permissible to take drugs? What is the harm of drugs?

Any substance that enters the body has a beneficial or harmful effect on all human systems - respiratory, digestive, nervous, cardiovascular, endocrine and others.

Respiratory system

When using drugs , the center responsible for the respiratory activity of a person is inhibited. As a result, the addict will suffer from a lack of oxygen, and after a while he will develop chronic hypoxia. Usually a condition in which the human body cannot absorb enough oxygen develops in the elderly or sick people. All internal organs, including the brain, suffer from hypoxia, which in the future will be manifested by delayed reactions, a significant decrease in mental abilities and memory.

But the harm of drugs is expressed not only in hypoxia. In most cases, people taking drugs do not die of oxygen starvation, but of respiratory arrest. So are short-term dizzy emotions and a sense of euphoria of a person’s life?

The harm of drugs extends to the cough center, which performs the protective function of the body. Because of this, an accumulation of sputum, pus, mucus and dirt occurs in the lungs of the addict - those substances that a normal person would have come out with a cough. A drug addict’s lungs is, to put it mildly, a constantly replenishing “garbage can”. Which of the people who tried drugs and later became addicted to them thought about this?

Heart and blood vessels

In addition to the inhibition of the respiratory and cough centers, there is also a violation of the functions of the vasomotor center, as a result of which the addict's blood pressure decreases, and the pulse becomes less frequent. One of the main functions of the heart and blood vessels is to supply tissues and organs with oxygen and remove harmful substances from them . However, in a drug addict, all body cleansing processes are slowed down. And the presence of senile changes in a still young body becomes an unsurprising fact.

Digestion

The harm to drug addiction is undeniable ... And in the case of the digestive system - it is so big that most people who once decided to just try to smoke, inject or breathe would immediately quit trying to use one or another drug if they knew about what awaits them. Atony of the intestinal wall - this is what threatens the addict. It doesn’t sound as scary as it really is. "Atonia" is the lack of normal tone. And because the digestive organs cannot contract normally, the addict turns himself into a "sack of feces." Constipation for ten days, disgusting breath, rotting processes in the intestines, feces, some of which are absorbed into the bloodstream and spread throughout the body ... What is so good about that? The euphoria has long passed, but the feces remained ...

Future generation

The harm of drugs extends to the reproductive system. A freak child is what awaits a female drug addict if she decides to have children. If the child is not a freak, then he will obviously have health problems. And can a drug addict have children?

That seems to be all. For example, we describe the dangers of amphetamine: severe depression, fatigue, debilitating insomnia, paranoia, hallucinations, delusions, weakening of the immune system, disruption of all internal organs. Drug addiction is a long and painful death.
