Cinema, both domestic and world, cannot boast of a large number of films dedicated to the First World War. One of the few such works is the last film directed by Vladimir Motyl “Crimson color of snowfall”. The actors embodied on the screen the images of people who were at the turn of the century at the epicenter of hostilities. But this film also tells a love story in the most difficult and hopeless times.
Plot
The main character, whose name is Ksenia Gerstel, is from Kiev. She suddenly loses the closest and dearest people. The father, a wealthy successful industrialist, is killed by rioters. And the groom Sasha dies at the front.
Not knowing what to do next, Ksenia decides to join the members of the Red Cross organization. Having become a sister of mercy, she goes to the front line to treat the wounded. It was there that she met the fifty-three-year-old Major General Rostislav Batorsky, who returned her faith in life and became her fiancé. Having again felt the closeness of happiness, Ksenia wholeheartedly fell in love with Batorsky. After the war, lovers settled in Petrograd. Everything was perfect until the revolution began.

The main role in the film was played by the Serbian actress Daniela Stojanovic. She beautifully embodied on the screen the image of the daughter of a large industrialist Ksenia Gerstel, who remained in the midst of the First World War all alone.
The actress was born on April 27, 1970. She comes from the Serbian city of Nis. She studied well at school, but best of all she was given exact sciences. That is why, after graduating from 8th grade, Daniela was transferred to a mathematical gymnasium. But time has shown that the girl’s true calling is acting. She again changes her place of study, going to school with a theatrical bias. Having received a certificate, Stoyanovich went to Belgrade, entered the department of theater art of the Belgrade State University of the Arts. After 5 years, with a diploma in her hands, Daniela went to the National Theater of one of the Serbian cities, where she was immediately accepted into the troupe. A few years later she moved to the Belgrade Drama Theater.
When war broke out in what was then Yugoslavia in 1999, the actress left for Russia to wait out troubled times. But fate decreed that the northern capital of Russia became for her a city where she met her love and found her calling.

, became Daniela’s husband. And with work, too, everything was in order. Several Petersburg theaters immediately accepted the Serbian actress into their troupes.
She began to be invited to the series. But the first iconic role in the big movie was played by her precisely in the film of Vladimir Motyl “Crimson color of snowfall”. Actors, including Daniela, were personally selected by the director himself. As V. Motyl later admitted, he did not regret at all that he had taken Daniel to the main role.
Now the actress has more than a dozen successful works in such films as “Voices”, “Attempted Faith”, “Heavenly Court” and others.
Mikhail Filippov (role - Rostislav Batorsky)
Rostislav Batorsky was played by Russian actor Mikhail Filippov. He was born on October 15, 1947 in Moscow. For four years, he studied at the Philology Department of Moscow State University. Then he accidentally got into the theater studio "Our House", where he realized that he wanted to become an actor. He left Moscow State University and entered GITIS.
After graduation (1973), he was admitted to the Moscow Academic Theater. Mayakovsky. The film debut took place in 1976, when Filippov appeared on the screen in the role of Mr. Fuke in the film “Red and Black” by S. Gerasimov.
Over the next 6 years, Mikhail did not act in film, focusing on the theater. Then he returned to the cinema and to date has played in more than 45 films. But the actor himself considers himself to a greater extent a theatrical actor.
Mikhail Filippov considers the role of Major General Batorsky in the film "The Crimson Color of Snowfall", the actors and creators of which perfectly conveyed the atmosphere of the hectic life of Russia at the beginning of the 20th century, one of the brightest in his film career.
The first wife of the actor was Irina Andropova (daughter of Yuri Andropov). From this marriage, Michael had a son, Dmitry. The couple divorced, and Mikhail married actress Natalya Gundareva. They were together until her death.
The actor’s third wife was actress Natalia Vasilyeva.
Alexander Turcan (role - Trofim Kryazhnikh)
Alexander was born on January 2, 1960. He became an actor far from immediately. Having been educated at the Moscow Road Institute, he worked for several years in the field of construction and operation of airfields.

Now the artist is often invited to the roles of employees of internal organs, the images of which he successfully embodies on the screen.
