Plot

The main character of the film is Vladimir Busygin. Once he meets a young man with the strange nickname "Silva" and by the will of fate finds himself in an unfamiliar city. The train left. Next wait all night.

Young people walk past an unfamiliar house and see in the window father and son, sorting out relationships. Vladimir overhears the conversation. An adventurous thought occurs to him: to impersonate the son of the owner of the house. Vladimir takes such an act only in order to provide himself and his new friend a lodging for the night.

Sarafanov - and this is exactly what the owner of the house is called - easily believes that Vladimir is his illegitimate son. He, in turn, gets acquainted with his new "relatives" and even in some way imbued with love for them.

Sarafanov is a musician. He passionately loves his children: Nina, Vasenka, and now his newfound son. Vladimir is struck by the sincerity, kindness of this person. In addition, the “eldest son” grew up without a father, and only now understands how he lacked parental involvement. It’s getting harder and harder to lie to Sarafanova every hour.

The situation is aggravated by Nina, to whom Vladimir has far from fraternal feelings. It is worth saying that the girl reciprocates him.

The youngest son of Sarafanov - Vasenka - is a romantic person. He has long been in love with Natalia, who lives in the neighborhood. The lad is not at all embarrassed by the age difference: the girl is ten years older than Vasya. Silva, meanwhile, does not lose time and decides to strike up an easy, non-binding affair with the Sarafanovs neighbor. He succeeds. However, the trouble is that when Vasya finds out about this, in a fit of jealousy, he sets fire to Natalia’s house.

Then there is a quarrel between Vladimir and Silva. The latter reveals the whole truth about the newly arrived son. Sarafanov’s reaction amazes everyone present. He does not want to believe that Vladimir is not his son and says: "You are all my children, because I love you." Vladimir suddenly realizes that he was late for the train again. This is where the film "Eldest Son" ends.

In 2014, she played the role of Anna Markovna in the film based on Kuprin's novel Pit. And in this negative heroine, one can hardly recognize the young romantic Nina from the film of Melnikov.

Vladimir Izotov (actor)

“The Eldest Son” is the film from which the creative career of the young artist began. The role of Vasenka Izotov played as a student. It’s hard to underestimate the talent of this artist by watching the movie “Big Brother”. Actors usually dream of such a successful movie debut. But, unfortunately, the role of Vasenka became the first and last vivid work of the artist in the cinema.

Vladimir Izotov graduated from the institute in 1977. By this time he was already a famous actor. By distribution, Izotov ended up at the Malaya Bronnaya Theater, where he worked for nearly fifteen years. In parallel, he acted in films. He played in several films, but not one of them won as many audience sympathies as the picture "Elder Son".

Over the years of service in the theater, Izotov played about thirty roles. Mostly they were young heroes of classical works. In 1991, the artist suddenly left the theater. What caused this decision is unknown. But since the beginning of the nineties, the actor also ceased to act in films.
